Homeschooler Leaving For Basic

How I can homeschooling my daughter we are leaving in Cancun mexico but she is born in fort lauderdale and I?

There is only one way to learn and remember any language, and that is to use the language. She needs to hear good models of English spoken correctly, and written correctly. She needs opportunities to engage with other English speakers. If she is entering grade 3, she has many years before starting college, so if you plan to homeschool her and want her to know English, you will need to use the language with her. Look for educational websites that use, or teach English. You will need to be very devoted to this if you want her to attend an English - speaking college. She will need to practice four skill areas: speaking, listening, reading and writing.
She will probably have to take the TOEFL test when she enters and if she needs to learn more English, some schools will offer English classes at the college level.
I used to know another language well and have forgotten due to lack of use. It's very important to use the language as much as possible if you want to know it well.

I'm leaving my school and about to be homeschool. How do I tell that to my boyfriend?

Say, “I'm going to be homeschooled now.”Perhaps this relationship is disrupting your studies and your parents have tried everything else in an attempt to not be forced to homeschool you. Nothing else has worked. It rarely does. Passion does not listen to reason. They don't like the fact you will be homeschooled either.Parents gotta do whatever they need to.Good luck in your future.

Should I leave school and start homeschooling?

The question is, why do you want to start homeschooling?First of all, if you do decide to be homeschooled, one or both of your parents will require a high school diploma or a GED. This is for the government to know if they are fit enough to teach you.Secondly, homeschooling can start at any time, but it is better to leave school during a break and not during the middle of the year.Research suggests homeschooled children tend to do better on standardized tests, stick around longer in college, and do better once they're enrolled.I personally think homeschooling is a great idea, only if your parents agree too.

How much notice must you give a school that you are leaving (for homeschool) in the UK?

There is no formal notice period - you just have to write to the head teacher to tell them you are doing it. In theory you can do it immediately, though it might be polite to discuss it with your child’s teacher, and give them a bit of warning. There may be things they can do to help with the transition, like letting you know where you child has got to in the curriculum, and what things they might be in the middle of doing.

I'm homeschooled and very lonely. I barely ever leave the house. What should I do?

Many homeschoolers like you have had this problem before. So there are some pretty easy and simple solutions.-Getting a job:This will allow you to make some of your own money to pay for other activities or yourself. However, this may lock you into a very stressful and unfriendly situation.-Becoming involved in your local church:This is usually really great for many homeschoolers and one of the most common choices, but I’ve found it to be limiting in topic as the environment is mainly for worship. Also, those who are not religious or have other difficulties with the place (read LGBTQ+ issues) will find it chafing.-Taking dual-enrollment courses:Surprisingly, most high-school students will find that 2–3 years of community college is free, and if you have the grades this is always great. The only drawbacks are the extra schoolwork/diffuculty. As a sidenote you will also be meeting mainly people 20 and older. I personally enjoy the more mature atmosphere, but you may think differently.-Trying to work with local public and private schools to join in in their activities:I have personally heard some success stories with it but have had no success at it. So, I don’t have much information about it.However, these all require investments of time and driving (if you don’t drive yourself) from your parents. I have another solution, though. This is of my own concoction and really works for myself and many of my friends.Productive Interests:Productive Interests are personal projects or activities that may lead to a career or make money in some other way, such as: drawing, creative writing, acting (especially offstage stuff theaters need techs), and many others.I’ve always found that when I throw myself into one of my “productive interests” such as: drawing, writing, and some other craft, my parents are always much more lenient about spending money or time. Try finding a productive interest and find a community for it. You’d be surprised how powerful this can be for you, and how many people you’ll meet through simple association if interests.

I wanna be homeschooled?

I totally understand. I just became homeschooled this year.
1.) How to ask her? Just ask her when you are alone with her! The worst thing she can say is no. Make sure you give supportive reasons to persuade her.
2.) Is homeschooling fun? YES, although I miss my friends. But we still hang out and stuff so its not like I will never see them again! You can wake up whenever you want, wear your pj's all day, learn what YOU WANT, eat whenever you want, etc.
3.) Taking a test to go back to public school? Not sure, but most likely yes just to see what classes you will need and what level you are on.
4.) Is it more understanding? Hmm...tough one. I don't know. I guess so, because you can ask questions and look things up online until you understand it.
5.) How many classes? Usually about the same. But you are responsible for gym, art, etc. unless you take classes on that. You will need to sign up for a 'co-op'. It is like a school for homeschoolers. They meet up usually once a week to go to classes such as Biology (which I cant learn at home) and Current Events and English.
6.) Does homeschooling take up a lot of time? Nope! I work independently on a homeschool computer software, because my mom is usually working. You can do whatever you think you are comfortable with.
Sorry this is long--
FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT HOMESCHOOLING-
You can use the bathroom whenever you want-NO STUPID HALL PASSES. You can eat whenever. You can do whatever you are comfortable with- For Gym I play JustDance Wii and Wii Fit ahhahaa:) You meet lots of new interesting people at co-ops!!! WE HAVE AN AMAZING PROM with a red carpet and popparazzi hahaha (well atleast my co-op does)

Can you leave your kid home alone all day to homeschool himself? ?

Hi. Absolutely not acceptable. We are not only talking about poor social skills but also his homeschooling experience was negative. There was so much this person missed and the parent was truly irresponsible in the decision to home school.

Homeschooling is a very serious matter and a true sacrifice by the parent. It takes so much to home school a child so please make this decision with great care.

I don't believe this is the norm within the homeschooling community but from time to time you do hear stories like this. Thanks for sharing and you are correct in that it was absolutely neglectful.

How can a working parent homeschool?

There are many parents who manage work and homeschooling. Depending on how flexible your career is, you could change your work hours to swing shift.I work 32hrs/wk in a hospital on swing shift. I leave for work at 2pm, leaving my kids with dinner partially fixed and instructions, as well as most if not all of their schoolwork completed. We use some online classes and some that are home based. My husband follows up on their completed work in the evenings when I'm working. Some things to consider:How independent are your kids? Are they trustworthy home alone? (Will they burn the house down making a snack?)Can you cut down to part time? Can you telecommute part of your work week? Can you work from home full time? This will likely force you to move your work hours later in the day.Is there someone who would be watching your kids who would be helping them with their schoolwork? This helps a lot if they are younger.Homeschooling isn't something done on a whim and in addition to giving up income, it costs you a huge time commitment. You have to decide if you're able to make that commitment. If you do, I promise you won't regret it!

I'm 16 and homeschooled.I have no friends left..?

If you have no friends it is because you have not made the effort. You are 16, old enough to get a part time job. There is scouting, home school clubs, park district activities, and volunteering. Do you live in a rural or more urban area? People are not just going to knock on your door to meet you weather you are home schooled or public schooled, you have to make the effort.
