Homeschooling Enrollment Skyrocketing As Parents Seek To Protect

Why do childless home owners pay school tax? We don't use the school system so shouldn't we pay less or nothing at all?

So, I actually am a childless homeowner and I feel that I can answer this question, quite handily.First, at some point, someone came up with the idea of universal, compulsory, primary education. I benefited from this as my primary education cost me nothing. Just as my parents primary education cost them nothing. They then paid into the system through their taxes to help educate me. I feel very strongly that I owe a debt for the excellent quality, public education that I received. So, I have no issue paying my school taxes, whatsoever. I believe that the best way to improve our society is to invest in education. I also KNOW that every dollar we spend on education will pay back 10 fold in the future. Education solves a lot of societal ills that would cost us more in the long run.Second, the idea behind your question is “Why should I have to pay for something that I don’t use?” Well, because there is a fair chance that you will use it some day. Most people will eventually have children. The same thing applies to nearly any government function. The most visible ones would be police, firemen and the military? We tried it your way, where you only paid for those things if you used them, and IT DIDN’T WORK! Let’s say you pay for a fire service but nobody else in your neighborhood does. One day, someone’s house catches fire. But, because they didn’t pay for a fire service, nobody comes to put it out. Well, we know from history what happens next; the whole block goes up. By the time it gets to your house, even though you paid for fire service, the fire is too massive and your home goes up too. So, it’s better if we all pay a little for the service. Otherwise you are essentially at the mercy of the cheapskates in your local area. So, there’s two good reason why you should still have to pay school tax, even if you don’t have kids. The best one though is that making sure everyone is educated is better than living in a society of morons.

What are the best research paper writing services?

If we are talking here about any kind of scientific “research” paper, done as part of an academic program, and hiding the fact that it isn’t your own work:That’s cheating, and is the sort of thing that the research world takes very seriously. It’s not just a matter of who gets credit for the results. The progress of science depends on the honesty of researchers. Not every reported result will be replicated by others, and fake reports cause immense trouble. If you turn a paper in with your name on it, you are asserting that you did the work and you are taking responsibility for the correctness of the results. Honest mistakes can be tolerated, but not fraud. So:You may not get caught. If you do, your career as a researcher is probably over, maybe before it even begins. Think about it.If the service in question is taking your results and just putting them into more understandable language, and if you’re sure they didn’t mangle the meaning or leave out essential qualifiers and caveats, then it might be OK.If you think it’s OK, put a disclaimer in the paper — something like this:This paper represents my own research results, but the presentation was heavily edited by “Zippy Research Papers and Auto Repair, Inc.”That might not help the paper get accepted, but at least it’s honest. If you present such a paper as your own work and writing, that’s still fraud, and I, for one, would deal very harshly with that if you were my student.

What would happen if kids didn't go to school?

There are already kids who don’t go to school. They’re called homeschoolers. Some homeschooling families recreate school at home. So that’s not exactly like not going to school. But some families, unschooling families, support their children exploring their interests. It looks nothing like school. Kids who love animals are supported in exploring animals. Kids who love to write, draw, do puzzles, play sports, read, help people, sell things, build things, are all supported. Additionally the parents expose them to more of the world so they can discover new interests. Those children go onto college if they want when they’re ready. The big advantage they have is they know what they love doing and have already been actively exploring it. College for them is a continuation of what they’ve been doing. But if school were just removed? What would happen would totally depend on what families replaced it with. The wealthy could send their kids to private schools. Or, if there were no schools at all, hire tutors. The middle class has an expectation of learning. Without school. many homeschooling communities band together to offer classes, even creating learning centers. They aren’t schools but more like drop in centers where kids can take a class or meet up with others who share an interest. If there never had been schools, society would be highly stratified. Families or segments of society that didn’t value learning, their kids would likely remain stuck without the skills to move beyond what their parents know. A society can function like that if it’s heavily dependent on unskilled labor. For an industrialized society, it means there are too many unskilled adults and not enough jobs for them. If, though, society in general does value learning, everything kids need in order to become functioning members of society is readily available on the internet and in most communities right now. Families can take advantage of it. All they need is to want to and to see how others successfully do it.

Can you tell me a little bit 'bout educational system in America? What I need to do to become a good student?

Not all US high schools are as bad as that other poster made them out to be. I should know, I went to one. The problem most of the bad schools have isthat they are filled with stupid poor people. Avoid inner city schools.

In general what you want to do to be a good student is just make the teachers think you are trying hard. If you do that they will grade you easier and give you the benfit of the doubt in most circumstances.
Yes, you shoucl participate in extracurricular activities. They look good on applications and they keep you busy so you dont fall in with a crowd of drug addict losers.
