How Am I Supposed To Do Homework When My Eyes Are On Fire

Things Fall Apart homework help?

Metaphor: anything with the words like or as, comparing/contrasting two things.

Personification: un-living objects making human like actions...(my own definition)

Metaphor: "and as if in sympathy." The log portrayed Okonkwo's feelings.

Personification: The smoldering log also sighed (because logs cannot really sigh). Only living things (animals, humans) can sigh. The action that the log is making is a human action.

Tip: it always helped me in school, to find out the definitions of things. Try to look up exactly what a metaphor/personification is :)

"Upon The Burning of Our House" by Bradstreet (Poetry homework help) Poem included?

Other answer is lame. I will help you............ *goes and plays company of heroes to make u jealous* :)))

I need help with my AP Physics homework (Projectile Motion)?

1. Consider the vertical component of velocity working against gravity

v=sin(35)*25

using conservation of energy to find the apogee:

1/2*m*v^2=m*g*h
or
h=v^2/(2*g)

now calculate the flight time using average velocity and constant acceleration:

h=1/2*v*t
t=2*h/v
from above:
t=2*v^2/(2*g*v)
t=v/g
or
t=sin(35)*25/9.81

once you have t, the distance from the building can be calculated using the horizontal velocity component
d=cos(35)*25*t
d=cos(35)*25*sin(35)*25/9.81
d=29.93m

2. The bullet will descend from the muzzel to the target under the influence of gravity.

Using flight time of the bullet as t:
d=1/2*g*t^2
from the problem statement
d=.025
t=sqrt(2*.025/9.81)
=.0714 s
Given that and the muzzel velocity:
horizontal distance=
670*t
=47.8 m

3. Again, look at the flight time. Since the jumper will reach apogee and return
g*t^2=h
v*sin(23)*t=h
t=v*sin(23)/g

The flight time in the horizontal
v*cos(23)*t=8.7
v^2*cos(23)*sin(23)/g=8.7
v=sqrt(9.81*8.7/(cos(23)*sin(23)))
=15.4 m/s

I am stuck on this homework. A letter that needs 13 commas placed. Help me please?

23 High Street,(1)
Lexington,(2) Massachusetts
September 3,(3) 1775

Dear Nathan,(4)

Your last letter was very exciting. Nathan,(5) I hope our army's leader,(6) General Washington,(7) visits here in Lexington,(8) Massachusettes someday.
Have you heard about the Battle of Bunker Hill? Dad told me that Colonel Prescott said,(9) "Don't fire until you see the whites of their eyes." It is sad that many brave,(10) loyal men died there. It seems that every city,(11) town,(12) and village swarms with British soldiers. We must pray that God will guide our leaders.

Sincerely yours,(13)
Matthew

There you go, I put numbers beside the commas so you won't have a hard time counting. :-) There's a rule when enumerating that a comma should be placed right before the word "and". Example: city, town, and village. I just can't remember what particular rule is that in using punctuations. I hope this helps.

Help with similies and metaphors? please hurry!!?

okay so in my english class, we just finished reading lord of the flies (horrible book! haha) and now we have a worksheet for homework on similies and metaphors in the book. i understand the similies part, but i am really confused on metaphors. i just do not understand how you can compare two things without using like or as! anyways here is the example metaphor they gave us....

Instantly the fire was alight. Before these fantastically attractive flowers of violet and red and yellow, unkindness melted away.

so how is there a comparison in there? there is no like or as, so which part is the metaphor? i am very confused!! haha so for the assignment we have to write two metaphors, one revolving around the signal fire and one about the littluns' fear of the beast. please help the paper is due tomorrow and neither me nor my parents could figure it out! thank you so much! all help is appreciated!!! (: xoxoxoxo

So tired but I have too much to do! Help!?

My dear, in this world we all work and study very hard. I work full time, study in a graduate program half time and has a family to look after including a minor child, not to mention I have to do a lot of paperwork for my family and work. I don't take any energy or vitamin pills but somehow manage everything.

I think you should take some energy pills. My daughter worked full time, studied law, had little sleep for four years while maintaining a nice relationship with the man of her dreams. She recently graduated from a law school, got married to the man of her dreams and is a full time lawyer now. She worked very hard for 4 years yet managed everything. I remember she mentioned of taking some energy pills to keep her awake and energized.

Just remember this phase of your life will not last forever and at the end it will be worth all the hard work.

Mathematics Homework Question : A man can hit a target once in 4 shots. If he fires 4 shots in succession, what is the probability that he will hit his target?

Option B.Probability of hitting the target= 1- probability of not hitting the targetif he hits once every 4 balls, probability of hitting = 1/4, probability of not hitting=3/4probability of not hitting the target all four times= (3/4)* (3/4)*  (3/4)* (3/4)probability of hitting target = 1 -(3/4)^4so, option B

Can you use these Idioms in sentences?

Normally I don't do other people's homework for them, but this sounded fun.

(Plus, the prospect of 10 points! is tempting; I might have missed that, if it hadn't been pointed out to me).

"The student said they weren't being dishonest by asking someone else to do their homework for them, but there's no smoke without fire."

"The student was under pressure to complete assignments on time, and also to work without outside help, so they were between two fires."

"Under criticism for turning in assignments late, and for taking credit for the work of others, the student was surrounded by two fires".

"When the Yahoo! Answers member said that asking someone else to do your homework for you is cheating, he hit the bull's eye."
