How Bad Are Energy Drinks

How bad are energy drinks...?

energy drinks rot the lining of your stomach away, until the stomach acid burns your insides and laks through your body... this is also commonly called a stomach ulcer. they also rot away your teeth and tongue. the amount of sugar in these drinks can cause a non diabetic person to go into shock. you will probably have type 2 diabetes in a matter of months.

Are energy drinks bad for you?

If they are used as intended and in moderation then they are not bad for you.

Soda has as much and often more sugar than energy drinks do.

Coffee has more caffeine than most energy drinks do.

If properly hydrated the caffeine, taurine, B vitamins, and other stimulants take over where the sugar lets off and the sugar crash isn't felt. If not the caffeine dehydrates us which make us tired and we feel the sugar crash.

Are bang energy drinks bad for you?

Unfortunately, the caffeine content is still too high, and some retailers still sell the older version of the product. According to livestrong.com, NOS Energy drinkscan cause diarrhea, delayed muscle recovery, nerve damage, increased risk for diabetes, and anxiety.

How bad are energy drinks really?

Since its possible to “overdose” on a great many consumables, they are as bad as anything else is used in excess quantities, but a person’s tolerance varies.Overdosing on salt can lead to hypertension among other things, overdosing on sugar can lead to diabetes, overdosing on exercise can lead to exhaustion.Consumed in moderation (and that’s determined by YOUR OWN body chemistry) they aren’t bad unless you fall into a category where one or more of the ingredients is something you are allergic to or have a bad reaction to.Read the labels, understand what you are putting in your body, and you should be fine.

Are 3 energy drinks in a row in one day bad?

Ok i had 3 in a row yesterday. a monster a red bull and a rock star. and then i was spinning around that night and i threw up. Should i do anything? i still feel sick. and yes i regret it. dont be all oh those are bad for you. i know already

How bad are Monster Energy Drinks?

Yes they are bad for you. Those energy drinks are considered speed in a can. You are abusing the drinks drinking so many in one week. Try weening off of them instead of just stopping. It has been rumored that if you just stop drinking energy drinks, the side effects are nausea, vomiting, migraines, and mood swings.

Are energy drinks bad for you (long-term)?

Depends what are in them, and how much you drink. Caffeine is not necessarily bad for you in small doses, but in large very bad for you, short term. Most energy drinks contains large amounds of sugar, which is bad for you, short and long term. They may also contain various chemicals which may or may not be bad for you short or long term. The prodiuct is most "appropriate" for adults, for whom wakefulness is more important than health for a short time.

Why are energy drinks bad for your health?

Neither. Despite being the target of misinformation campaigns and ignorance, energy drinks are just regular beverages. They consist of sugars, water, caffeine, and a few other ingredients. Nothing particularly unusual. While they are “empty calories”, there is no such thing as a good calorie or a bad calorie. If you need calories, then they work just fine. If you don’t, then you can end up gaining weight. Neither of those is good or bad until they start affecting your overall health. The caffeine in energy drinks seems like a lot, but it really isn’t any more than a few cups of coffee jammed into a single can (in fact, most cans often contain more than one serving, so when used by serving, they are even less impressive). The other ingredients, guarana, taurine, etc, have some effect in high doses, but unless you are drinking red bull by the gallon, the amount in a can isn't enough to have any effect on most people.Really, energy drinks aren’t anything that you don’t get from regular old soda, they are just better marketed (the same way that mountain dew was in the 90’s). If you have a caffeine sensitivity, stay away from them, just like you would stay away from espresso. If you are diabetic, go with the sugar free ones. If you are overly concerned, see a doctor, or just don’t drink them. Other than that, they probably won’t hurt you.

Exactly how bad are energy drinks for you?

Here is a synopsis of an article from GNC on energy drinks:

Now, here's the latest on "Energy Drinks" discovered by Vance Alford.

We received a free GNC magazine and they had an article about how bad energy drinks really are for you here are some of the statistics the study came up with..

Top 5 worst energy drinks are:

1) MONSTER

2) Sobe No Fear

3) Amp'd

4) Full Throttle

5) Rockstar

Red Bull with no sugar was rated as the best energy drink for you,but rightfully enough it had the least effect on your body..(gave you the least energy). here's some other scary statistics it showed in the article..

For every 20oz. of Monster you drink it takes 6.3 gallons of water to flush it out of your kidneys. The average person drinks 6.3 gallons of water in 23 days.. for every 20oz of Red Bull, with no sugar, you drink it takes .9 gallons of water to flush out your kidneys and the average person drinks .9 gallons of water in about 2 days. (I have no idea who an "average person" is, but anyway.....)

Another study showed...

If the average person drank 5 Monsters a day for 12 years, and did not drink 1 gallon of water per day he/she would have kidney failure within 5 years...

Some more...

The average energy drinker drinks 2 energy drinks a day to equal the sugar in 2 Monster you would have to eat 13 scoops of ice cream a day.. Red Bull, with no sugar, it would take 2 scoops of ice cream in a day to equal two red bulls with no sugar..

Those are real scary numbers. I think I'd lay off the Monster... even the best energy drink for you which is Red Bull with no sugar, even it looks real bad for you...

I have about 2 energy drinks a week. How bad is this for my health?

Generally speaking, consuming 2 energy drinks a week doesn’t do anything bad to your health.Energy drinks contain caffeine, B vitamins, other good ingredients like taurine or ginseng, but many also contain tons of sugar.Sugar is obviously bad, so it’s a good idea to avoid energy drinks that are high in sugar.Caffeine is great in moderation, but consuming too much caffeine is known to cause side effects such as insomnia, tooth decay, irregular heartbeat and irritability. The daily maximum dosage for caffeine as set by the FDA is 400mg for a average healthy adult.A single can of low-caffeinated energy drink like REIZE (50mg caffeine) or Red Bull( 80mg caffeine) contains much less than what is permitted. A can of high caffeinated energy drink like Bang energy drink or Rockstar still contains less than what is permitted daily, even though they contain muliples of what you’ll find in a Red Bull.Consuming two energy drinks a week is totally fine as long as you don’t have a pre-existing health condition. Personally, I would suggest to choose a sugar-free option that contains a sensible amount of caffeine. My personal favorite is REIZE Energy Drink.REIZE contains 50mg of caffeine per serve, is sugar-free, gives you a great energy boost, tastes great and at around $1 per drink including shipping is a lot more affordable than most energy drinks on the market.
