Was Hillary Clinton’s defeat in 2016 a blessing in disguise for Democrats for future elections?

I do believe that if Hillary Clinton had won, she would have been a one term president. Simply put, if she had won, it would have only been because Trump was even more unpopular than her. She would have been dealing with a hostile Congress, very little would change in regards to the major issues facing the country, the populist wave from the right would gain more and more strength over the next four years, and Ted Cruz or Paul Ryan would have demolished her in the 2020 campaign. Folks that, unlike Trump, actually have a comservative agenda and would most likely have Congress completely on their side. And in 2020, they would retain control of the House, and the ability to gerrymander. With Trump winning instead, Democrats get to be the opposition party to an incredibly unpopular president. Much like Democrats after 2004 and the subsequent Bush blunders early in his second term. I don’t see Democrats taking back the House in 2018, mostly due to gerrymandering, but I do see them narrowing the gap, and taking it back in 2020 when the country goes to vote for President. Voter turnout will be high, thanks to Trump’s unpopularity. And, 2020 is a census year. Much like Republicans gained control of gerrymandering in 2010 and have themselves control of the House for a decade, Democrats may very well do the same in 2020.Now, this does also depend on Democrats finding a suitable and charismatic candidate for President in 2020, at least someone more so than Hillary Clinton. Which shouldn’t be too hard. Whether one thinks it fair or not, she was pretty much as unpopular as Trump. Which is why, going back to the question, I think her losing may result in a better long term outlook for Democrats.Disclaimer: I just want to state that I detest gerrymandering, and I don’t want Democrats to do it anymore than I wanted Republicans too. But, they will, because unfortunately, that’s politics.

If Donald Trump wins the White House, will Democrats acknowledge that elections have consequences, and then support Trump's agenda?

Original Question: If Donald Trump wins the White House, will Democrats acknowledge that elections have consequences, and then support Trump's agenda?Any student of democracy knows that elections have consequences. What they do with this nugget is the “key”.Cutting through the liberal bias is a difficult job. Even CNN considers the word “Trump” to be offensive. This is part of what the public is up against:FYI: CNN blocks “Trump” tee shirt words BIAS ALERT: HLN blurs out retired officer's Trump 2016 shirt | Fox NewsHere’s proof of above image:If Trump wins, he will have convinced a portion of the electorate the following:Promises made to a constituency over 50 years with no results means something. Were the promises only for a vote? Were the promises made with no plan to implement them? Were the promises based on flawed economics? Finally, were the promises targeted at the problem?Democratic controlled social endeavors make people feel good. Concurrent with the democrat message during the 7 1/2 years of democrat rule has been the decisiveness of that party (see #2 below). They don't solve the problem. Education is the substrata underlying much of the problems today. Many of the urban inner cities are crime ridden and the schools are magnets for government grants and more bureaucractic nonsense.See more here:Tom Byron's answer to What is the Democratic plantation?A United American Discussion- Plan Of Action by Tom Byron on Byron's Blog

You do realize that Martin Luther King was a right wing activist protesting left wing oppression, right?

So true, so very true. It's good to go back and cut through the revisionist history and get a clean perspective on where we are today. Makes things much more clear.

It happened a number of decades ago, but it tells us where we have gone, where we are, and how we got here. If you look at the truth all the smoke blown by the left clears up and you see what is real, now.
