How Big Is The Flag On Victoria Tower

Does the Watchtower interpretation of Matthew 24:45-47 mean that God had no representatives for 18 centuries?

No. They claim that there has always been Jehovah's organisation on Earth, even though for 1,900 years there was only a "thin red line" of faithful, anointed ones. For example, they identify the 12 Apostles as part of the F&DS class, I believe. But they teach "Restorationism" - the idea that the first century Christian Church rapidly became so apostate that hardly any "true Christians" were left - until God raised up Pastor Russell to restore the true church in the late 1800s!

This is almost the same teaching as the Mormons. They teach "Restorationism" too. They have to do that in order to give credence to their founding leaders and to rubbish established Christianity over the last 1,900 years. But the JWs will insist that there have always been a tiny number of anointed, faithful and discreet servants of Christ on Earth, in every generation.

However, the most shocking admission about the F&DS class has just been made by the Watchtower Society's legal representative in a current Adelaide, Australia court case. It claimed, effectively, that the F&DS is not a legal entity, does not exist as a person, does not exist as an unincorporated body, and does not exist as a body of Christians and therefore should be struck from the legal charge list. It is said to be merely "a theological arrangement". The Watchtower attorney's statement said that the "Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses" neither exists nor operates within Victoria and Australia.

Now, this is shocking, because all JWs know that for over 100 years their leaders have been telling them that they are unlikely to survive Armageddon, or get a resurrection from the dead, unless they are obedient to the decrees of the F&DS class in this era (closely identified with their Governing Body). But now they are being told that the term is merely "a theological arrangement" and that it does not exist as a body of Christians! Does this mean that God has no representatives in this century?

What would happen if 100 terrorists with AK-47s attacked Windsor Castle and tried to enter and kill the Queen?

Firstly, they have a low chance of finding her there, but we’ll assume they follow the big flags and pick a day when she is there. So is more security.Secondly, Windsor castle is literally a castle- there is a clue in the name. It has very heavy gates and tall stone walls than assault rifles won’t do anything to, so unless they have extra equipment, they are not getting in.Thirdly, it has quite a bit of security. Professional soldiers and armed police, with prepared positions, and a target rich environmentFourthly, it is a big confusing complex of buildings. Medieval kings were quite keen on secret escape passages and the like, so there are probably places to hide while security deal with the attackers. All in all, it ends up being a bad day for the terrorists and whoever supported them. Why do you think they go for soft targets, which are hard to secure, and with few or no guards- as far away from a castle as is possible!

How would you describe Canada and Canadians?

The people: Friendly, well spoken, but somewhat reserved. If Canadian from Victoria, BC, a bit snooty at times.

When I think Canada, I think snow, hockey, Maple Leaf flag, Anne of Green Gables, going to tea at the Empress in Victoria, BC.

I also think of musicians like Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, the Guess Who, Gordon Lightfoot, RUSH, Chilliwack, Celine Dion...and the DeFranco Family (can't tell I grew up in the 70s huh? lol)

Sociopolitically, I think of 70s era Vietnam draft dodgers from the US, Gordon Sinclair's record about Americans, Pierre Trudeau, Peter Jennings, Mounties, Quebec wanting to secede, people constantly saying the word "Eh?" and that crazy show with Rick Moranis with the two brothers who were always saying "take off you hosers."

I now live in the Pacific Northwest...but grew up in Cleveland where I would sometimes hear Canadian AM radio stations from as far away as Montreal. I thought the French speaking DJs playing American rock and roll was cool!
