How to lose 50 pounds? 13 year old?

I'm thirteen years old and need to lose weight. I need to lose about 40 to 50 pounds by June of this year. Any answers that will help will really be needed. What are a few snacks that taste good yet are still healthy for me to munch on at times? Why are the best exercises to do to help me reach my goal faster? Please help!!!

Okay so your metabolism ( or metabolic rate ) it the rate your body burns the food you eat, and its better to make sure it doesn't settle on a certain amount of calories and grams of fat each day, so you have to eat different portions, or just different foods each day.

Whats your favorite food? lets say its chocolate, your going to have a really hard time giving it up right?
So at the beginning of each day, have a little bit of chocolate or whatever your favorite food is with your healthy breakfast, your metabolism is faster in the morning and this will prevent craving your favorite food later! :D

So for breakfast, you could have a fruit and vegetable of your choice or some cereal with low fat milk.
(Remember to change the amount of fruit and vegetable/ cereal your eating per day!)

For lunch, how about more fruit, a cereal bar, low fat yogurt and if you really crave some sugar try jelly, its surprisingly low fat!

Dinnerrr!
Pasta is quite high in calories, but not so much in fat, so this is okay to eat aslong as you do some exercise which we can get round to in a minute!
Dont take meat out of your diet, remember you need protein, but meat IS fattening, so perhaps have some skinned chicken, which has protein but barely any fat.
And, ofc, VEGETABLES :D


Snacking!
Okay so your reaally starving, have some celery :D you burn more calories eating it than you put on, its a complete nothing food!

EXERCIISEEEE!
You need to do 30 minutes of exercise in a day, which as your said you were athletic your probably already doing, so your probably have more muscle than fat, so keep it up! Otherwise theres other options that you can do ^__^

Hulaing ( yep, with the plastic ring you had as a kid) burns 100 calories for every 30 minutes you do.
Running is great, walking is good too!
Swimming is reaaally good, and it makes you feel really relaxed.
Situps are important for toning your tummy, and squats are good for your legs.
Do you have a bike? riding that for 15 minutes burns 100 calories, so maybe find a friend and take a bike ride? ^__^

14 year old girl, 5'5-5'6, 120 pounds, I need to lose 15 pounds?

I'm 14 years old, about 5'5 or 5'6 and I weigh about 120 pounds. I used to weigh 104 pounds and I was happy with that weight, but then during march break I started eating a lot, and I gained about 15 pounds.

I'd like to lose that weight again so I can be comfortable in a bikini. I noticed my stomach and arms have been getting flabby and I starting to get a double chin.

Even though I go running, play on my school's touch football team and am generally active, I am still a bit chubby.

If I start running everyday and do pushups/situps/leg lifts etc.. and eat about 1000 calories a day (not counting fruit or vegetables) would I be able to reach 105 pounds by June? Any other tips would be appreciated. Thanks :)

if you lose 71 lbs by june it will be extremly unhealthy and dangerous.
in a year you can only lose 50 -60 lbs healthy.
i suggest u start a healthy plan for eating not a DIET!
just cut back on your calories u must burn more calories in every day then u consume.
replace those candies with a vegetable or fruit.
replace ur soda with water or a low fat drink.
cook your own meals because u can control the slat or sugar that they put into it.
dont add any slat to your foods

How can a 13 year old lose 50 pounds fast and easy?

I'm thirteen years old and I'm 5'6" and I used to weigh 198 pounds. And it didn't take me one month and a half to do so. That would be unhealthy if you did it so fast. The only way you could do that, unless you were becoming anorexic or bullimic. But you could maybe lose up to 20 pounds and to do that you should cut out chips, cookies and all other junk food. It is not good for you. Also cut out the sodas because it has high fructose corn syrup and if you drink alot of sodas you will end up being 200 pounds. Also excersice reguarly. Don't push yourself but workout for an hour like riding your bicycle or doing something that burns calories like dancing to something on your iPod or Mp3 player. If you sweat from doing that then you should have no problem burning myabe 900 calories a day with three excersises. Also DRINK WATER! If you drink about 10 glasses a day you should be in good shape. I followed all of this and now I weigh 124 in 6 months from doing all this. Be smart and be healthy. Aim for 20 not 50!:D

I am a 13 year old girl (I'll be 14 on june 5th) and I really want to loose some weight for the summer. I currently weigh 132 lbs and I am 5'3.

my goal is to loose at least 10-15 lbs by the middle of summer.

how can I loose that weight?

what should I eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner everyday? (by the way, monday-friday I eat lunch at school so make sure what you say for lunch is an easy lunch to bring to school. there are no microwaves, etc at my school.)

Help!! I am 13, I am 5'5, and I weigh 210 pounds!! How do I lose 80 pounds before June 15, 2012?!?

Well I've already lost 5 pounds since New Years. Wanna know how? I stopped drinking bad drinks. I only allow myself to one a month, and then all I drink is waters. Don't drink sodas, koolaid, capri suns, tea, or anything else. I tend to drink a Mountain Dew and then the only other thing I drink is water. Next, dont eat as much. I have only been eating like a granola bar and then a plate for dinner. With that being said, the normal calorie intake for people trying to lose weight is 1,200. So, with what I eat, I have between 700-1000 calories. Which means that throughout the day I can have like a few cookies or some leftover dinner from last night. It actually works really well. Now to lose some weight on the belly area, stick your feet underneath the couch, and start doing situps. Do about 10 really fast, then do 5 more slowly. Do that about 8 different times a day to where you do 120 situps. Once you get really good belly muscles (not nessicarily weight loss yet) do more situps at a time. Go for 60 situps without stoping and then do that for 8 times a day. The weight will slide off your body. Thats what I have been doing and I already lost 5 pounds, and its only been half the month. So I say you would lose 10 pounds a month, so your total weight by June would be 157. I know that isnt where you want to be by june, but weight loss takes time and you cant just magically make yourself thin.
