How Can A European Take A Plane To The Usa And Make A Living

Why do Europeans travel a lot ?

I'm Croatian (15 years old and living in the USA!!!!) and we have cousins living in Switzerland, Germany, Croatia, Austria, and Bosnia and Hercegovina. With those sorts of connections, we don't have to pay for any hotels, all we need to do is pay for the plane tickets and the bus rides to each country. Why? Because we can just stay at our cousins houses.

PS: To the person that said it was the same thing as traveling from state to state, it actually isn't, because to get to Europe you have to FLY there.

College in Europe ?

I am 16 years old and before you think i am some ignorant child i just want to say i’m very intellectual and self aware. I want to further my education after high school of course but I really don’t want to feed into the terrible education system of being in debt for a long time. I have decided i’d like to travel abroad to go to college, my mother and father are from europe and have only lived in the US for some short time, therefore it seems like a realistic idea for me. I am just lost as to what actions i should begin to take now to make this idea a reality. If you guys have any tips or experiences i would love and appreciate help. so much,

How do Europeans and Australians afford taking so many vacations abroad?

Here’s a joke that I just invented (literally). What do Americans vs. non-Americans do when they want bread?Ans: Americans will buy flour, a dough kneading machine, a baking oven and all the latest gizmos and tools to bake breadNon-Americans will walk over to a bakery and buy bread.I’m in Indian living the US. I’ve lived in a few european and asian countries too.One big difference i’ve noticed is that the American society is very consumeristic. I wouldn’t say materialistic, but definitely consumeristic. There’s a big emphasis on buying big houses, cars, and pretty much everything that money can buy. Average middle class people own things like guns, chainsaws, fancy tools, ride on mowers .. often times things that maybe they might need to use once or twice in their lifetime. If money can buy it, they will buy it.Simply put, they want the entire world in their homes rather than going out into the world to explore it. There’s great pride in living “off the grid” in your own cocoon (of several acres) in the middle of nowhere. When I first came to the US in my early twenties, I was shocked to learn that many of my American friends (even those from well off families) didn’t even have a passport. They had traveled very little. For somebody living in California, visting New York and Chicago was like going to a foreign country.Europeans and Asians have a very different mentality. Although things are changing there too, but the emphasis on buying things and being completely “off the grid” is an alien concept. They save their money to travel and experience the world. They depend a LOT on each other, their friends and neighbors for various things. And they enjoy that dependence. This actually leaves them with more money to spend on other things.Growing up in India, my dad barely made $300/month .. but we traveled a LOT. We would take at least two vacations a year to see a new place within India and every few years a foreign destination.

Why do planes fly east towards Australia?

Airlines DO fly over the pacific to Australia from US and Canada. Flight time from Los Angeles to Sydney is 14 hours and 40min. That is just as long as the East route. But you are assuming everyone in the US and Canada are flying from one airport. USA is a REALLY BIG COUNTRY. Flight from NY to LA is 6 hours. Same for Toronto to Vancouver in Canada. So if you are in NYC and want to go to Australia [lets say Perth]. It is more efficient to take two flights. NYC to Dubai [12hrs]- Dubai to Perth [11hrs] {route i’ve taken numerous times}. Total combined flight time of 23hrs. Add to that the time in transit in Dubai, typically 6hrs but it can be as short as 1.5hrs. So total travel time of 25- 29hrs.Verses if you take the west route from NYC. NYC to LA [6hrs]. LA to Sydney [15hrs]. Then Sydney to Perth [6hrs]. Total flight time: 27 hrs. Add to that the transit time. In LA the transit time is consistently 6 to 8hrs. In Sydney another 6 or 8hrs. So total travel time of : 39hrs. Thats almost two days of traveling.Yes my times can be adjusted with careful planning but you will only shorten the duration of travel by approx 5hrs.I’ve taken the westerly route I mentioned above. Its horrendously inefficient. Very expensive because there is only one airline that i’m aware of that flies directly from LA to Australia [ Qantas]. And the route is very complex which increases the possibility of you missing a connection. I did break up that route with stops in Melbourne and New Zealand but it does nothing for the stress of flying.I like the East route because I love the airport in Dubai. Very convenient and comfortable with tons of amenities. LAX ins LA is just horrible. Most US airports are.

If living in the USA while tramitting your J2 VISA. Can you travel throught the USA with your foreign passport?

there is no word tramitting, and transmitting doesn't make sense either.

A J2 visa holder is somebody who is married or a dependent child of a J1 visa holder. The J2 visa is only valid if the J1 visa holder has entered the country with his/her J1 visa.

Please review your information and repost question.

If your sister does not have a B2 visitors visa but came on a visa waiver your sister cannot change to a different visa while in the US anyway. If she is on a visa waiver I would strongly recommend that she leaves when expected. If she overstays a visa waiver she can't get one again.

While legally in the US your sister should have no problem flying.

Edit: she does not NEED an I515A form, she was GIVEN the the I515A form because some document was missing. Since I have no idea what document was missing and what is required I strongly suggest that she goes with her husband (might be easier if he is there to answer questions) to the international student office of the school she is attending and asks all her questions there. If the school was supposed to send a document somewhere, the school is the only place she can find out what is currently going on. She should do this ASAP.

Why don't Mediterranean boat refugees take the plane?

Because they wouldn't be allowed to board the flight, regardless of how much money they had. Immigration to Europe is not exactly an open-door and there isn't much of a legal route. The European Welfare State is meant for Europeans, not for cold and the hungry foreigners. One more thing: to those whose answer is "because they are too poor", please research your answer before writing answers on Quora: they do have money. They pay smugglers hundreds of dollars for passage across the Mediterranean. The migrants *can* afford taking the plane, and would actually be cheaper and safer. Here is one such testimony from one of these migrants: http://www.theguardian.com/comme...Europeans  appear to prefer the game-show method of deciding who's an (illegal)  immigrant, whomever manages to survive crossing the Mediterranean wins!  If they really wanted to address the issue, they need to put in place  legal means for at least *some* of these young people to be able to  migrate legally.
