How Can Confirm I Have Bad Breath Myself

What doctor do I see for bad breath?

Good question. Let me break it down the best way possible. Mouth odor is interesting. The smell can either be associated to the mouth area or the GI tract/gut area. If the smell is foul like the smell of fecal matter then you may have to see a regular doctor who may have to refer you to a Gastroenterologist. It depends though if the primary physician suspects something by way of signs, symptoms, history and physical and blood work up. If it is significant then the primary care physician will bump it up and refer you to the specialist who can rule out a medical condition if present. However, that particular type of odor could usually mean a diet of meats, processed foods, junk food and diary which is difficult to digest and particules get trapped in the diverticuli of the intestines. The intestines both small and large are long tubes within the abdominal region. High fiber diet plus water intake is necessary to pull this stuff out. And if it has stayed in the intestines for awhile you will see the darker colors in your stool when you have high fiber in your diet pulling it out. Fiber is like a sponge and will gently scrap the intestinal wall. Remember diet is key here. Also, not only your breath but your skin will tell you a thing or two how things are going on internally. Now if the odor from your mouth doesnt have that strong putrid, fecal smell then it is more than likely mouth related. That means you may have inflamed bleeding gums, deep cavities, teeth that are decaying or dental work that needs attention. People who smoke heavily or do drugs or have certain medical conditions display issues in their mouths and the odor gives it away. However, whatever concern you may have about your body in general, you should seek out a medical and/or dental professional.

Do cooked onions make your breath stink?

Raw Onions are more influential on your tongue than cooked ones are. Cooked onions release their natural sugars, thereby creating a sweeter taste than raw ones would. However, if you have a delicate stomach, this might adversely affect how you will react to them. I personally do not have this health concern, but many people do. So, you may want to take that into consideration. No matter, a handy Breath RX will take it away..........they practically burn my tongue off but I use them when I eat garlic. And, that's almost everyday! But, back to YOUR question (sorry, got off point) I think you should be OK with the cooked onions, but every one is so different on this. Hope this information helps you out tonight!

Why do I have bad breath after always flossing and brushing?

I presume that your question refers to why even with flossing and brushing, you still have bad breath.Bad breath can be from a number of reasons. For example, eating garlic 3 times a day will not be helped with good oral hygiene.  You can have bad breath due to gastric conditions, tooth decay, use of antibiotics, candida and a number of health issues. One of the most overlooked causes of bad breath (halitosis) is from bacteria that are living on the tongue. Some bacteria need oxygen to live. Other, die in the presence of oxygen. This anaerobic bacteria often hides amongst the papillae on the tongue and give off sulfur compounds (mercaptans, that smell like fermenting cabbage). Life on the tongue is pretty good for the bacteria. They hide in a nice place, that is humid, warm, get fed three times a day and are covered with biofilm so that they don't get disturbed. All the do is eat, multiply and give off smelly stuff. So, regardless why the cause of halitosis, my recommendation is - be sure to gently clean your tongue with a tongue scraper, taking care not to harm or cut it (this gives this bad bacterial immediate access via blood to organs in the body like the hearth, brain...). There is even an ultrasonic tongue scraper on the market, which removes the biofilm, thereby aerating the bacteria, causing them to naturally die in the presence of air (oxygen). Tongue cleaning is a healthy habit for all people (and pets), and not only for people with bad breath.

0.13 on a breathalyzer?

1) You say you were in a boarding school, therefore the laws for driving don't count

2) How can anyone say how bad it is, we don't know what the rules of the school are ... As a minimum I would guess your parents would be informed.

EDIT: What is it with people going on about being over the limit for driving .............. The asker specifically said they were caught by a teacher IN THEIR SCHOOL - Now unless they crashed a car through the wall, which I think they would have commented on, then that indicates they were NOT driving

How can I confirm if someone was USAF Para-rescue?

This is a little odd, but my husband of a year has always told me that he was in the USAF as a para-rescue jumper and was deployed to Bosnia around the turn of the century (2000). Over recent months, certain things have come up that make me doubt this claim. For one, when I met his father, he told me that my husband was a member of the Civil Air Patrol not the USAF. Of course the CAP is domestic. When I asked my husband about it, he told me his father "didn't know" the particulars of his military career. As a parent myself, I find it highly unlikely that a father would not know if his son was deployed as special operations to a war zone. I have submitted a FOIA request to the USAF for any personnel records pertaining to my husband, but have heard nothing as of yet. Is there any other way I can confirm (or disprove) what my husband told me? I really would like to know if what he told me is true as, if it's not - well, I need to know if he is lying to me and my daughter. One easy way to tell might be this: He told me that he was in the military for only four years, starting at 18 right out of high school. From what I can tell, para-rescue training alone is two years. Is it possible to be a para-rescue jumper and only be in the service four years? Also, it seems all para-rescue personnel have paramedic training/certification, which my husband clearly does not. Is this true - that if he were a para-jumper he would have the knowledge of a paramedic?

Any info anyone out there has is appreciated!

Thanks.
