How Can I Be The Best Employee At Mcdonalds

How do McDonald's train their restaurant employees?

Working at McDonald's is an adventure, people who are thinking about joining must be willing to figure things out themselves. I suggest learning about the origins of Mc Donalds, which is very inspiring. The McDonald’s brothers were two men selling burgers and french fries at their shack. One day a milkshake maker comes along, who sells them this product. Now they have the innovation of technology to make business even bigger. What I learned at Mc Donald’s can transfer into life, because you learn self-discipline, professionalism, and about appearance. You see you learn about how to make the menu as a team, which takes focus and cooperation. One person toasts the bun, the other cooks the burgers, and another wrap’s it. This sounds easy, see if you can apply the same teamwork to different projects in your life.Mc Donald’s doesn’t want it’s employee’s to know how to think, they keep things relatively simple. You don’t get the merit for how many years you spend working for Mc Donalds. There is recognition for the work ethic that is rewarding, so take for example how people told me about how they remember how I made the best looking burgers. One night during an overnight shift, I was bored and expected to find work to do. I decided to help the morning crew catch up with their work before they arrived. I was going to my course at the local community college later that day. I was working as a crew member to pay my tuition to achieve a graduation in Commercial Cooking. I was sent home from class that day because I was too tired to work on the floor and I cut my finger. During my next shift, I got in trouble for taking the initiative to help the morning crew. It is understandable the crew did not have anything to do, in the franchise I worked for the employee’s stood around while I lead the operation. There are good people who work for Mc Donald’s, don’t get me wrong! We had days in the summer where we went outside to clean up around the community picking up trash. I picked it up with a replica military sword with my two close friends who also worked there. Taking Tae Kwon-do helped because I used the muscle memory and routine making skills martial artist develop to implement on the line. I worked very hard serving the community burgers and french fries with that indomitable spirit.

How much money does mcdonalds pay a new employee??

Heh..I grew up in arkansas..anyways, try getting a job at walmart or something since they pay a little better. A really good first job would be a cashier position at home depot since they pay around 7-8 bucks an hour which is good for somebody with no experiance.

Mcdonalds will not pay you much but you might get free food..probably not though lol. They're pretty corporate anymore. http://www.hotjobs.com

Look into that. See if you qualify for any customer service/telemarketing jobs..those pay typically a dollar more per hour than retail. Customer service isn't so bad but telemarketing really sucks.

Good luck to ya.

How can I become a better employee at McDonald's?

My manager says I am struggling and I need to hustle more.
But I don't understand because I'm trying my hardest! I've only been
working there for about three weeks now. But at the same time, my
other manager told me the same thing but she said it'll take time.

McDonald's employees: Grill cleaning tips?

Hey Micky D's employees. I've been working for McDonald's for half a year now and I'm trying to find out the best and most effective way to clean the grill there. The procedure I'm encouraged to use here in Quebec, Canada goes as follows:
1) Turn the grill on CLEAN MODE.
2) Steam-wash it with a grill cloth (I usually do it twice).
3) Pour out two acid packs (one for each half of the grill surface) on major "black spots" then scrub it all over the place and on the top parts.
4) Lay down the tops for 10 minutes to let the acid "sink in" and get all the carbon build-up out.
5) Scrub some more.
6) Another steam-wash and you're done.

This works fairly well enough but I'd really like to get my grill as clean as possible! Any (proven, logical) tips??
