How do I bring my grades up?
I am in 7th grade, and I don't want to stay in 7th grade again. Here are my grades right now: English: 45% (Don't know, have only an A and b for new semester on assignments) Math: 12%(Missed an assignment gets automatic F) Reading: 76% Science: 91% Social Studies:100% French: 93.3% I only have 3 bad grades, but I want to bring them up and keep them up.

you need to get on this problem immediately. the first thing i would do is talk to each teacher. tell them that you have always been a good student and that this semester has been really hard on you. tell them you know that you are waiting until the last minute to ask for help (and admit it, you are!) but you would appreciate any help that they could give you. could you do any extra credit? if you have any tests left, study hard and ask the teacher before the test day on any areas that you don't understand. show some effort to the teachers and it will go a long way! good luck and don't ever let this happen again. it might have seemed worth blowing off studying at the time, but long term you seem to be paying a big price. mia
Bring my grade up from a F to a C?
In math I have a F because I'm not the best test taker. I really need to bring up the F to a C in 2 weeks. In my class we have to do homework that isn't taken as a grade and I usually do good on those but when it come to taking the test or doing any graded work I can never do as good. I always feel under pressure and can't concentrate. There has also been a lot happening at home which affects my grades too. If I don't bring up my grade in two weeks I will have to retake it over the summer and I don't want to spend my summer doing math. Any advice is appreciated!!

Talk to your teacher. It is likely that he/she will let you know what you can do, or give you an extra project, or something. Or, even after school help. I have taught, and I know teachers really do want the best for their students, and many will do what it takes to help - if they are asked.

First off talk with your teachers: what you want to find out is this: a. Do you have any missing assignments or do they allow redo's and how does it work b. Do they already have the work planned for the days you will be gone and can you get them in advance c. What extra credit is offered and how do you do it. d. What do they feel that you are having a hard time with and what advice do they have to get any extra help you need. e. is their an after school tutoring program Also as many have already said study for your tests but also if you feel you need extra help find out if a buddy or the teacher can assist you.
How do I bring my math grade up?
I am 14 years old, and in Honors Geometry in high school. My teacher expects so much from us, because we are pretty much the highest level math class for freshman. Most freshman take algebra, and I did that last year. It was so easy and I did so well I decided to take honors geometry. We took our first test around a month ago, and I got a 64. I was so upset at how low my grade was. My average dropped from 100, to a 69. Throughout the weeks, with projects and homeworks, I was able to bring my average up to a 73. We took a quiz on translations around 2 weeks ago. My teacher told us he was expecting us to do better because it was a quiz, and we already took our first test. He said our grades should go up from that first test. He just gave us back our quiz today, and I got a 60. It was the worst grade in my class, and everyone else got 70s or higher. My average dropped down from a 73 to a 64. He told us we are having a test on Thursday (2 days from now) on Transformations. I am so nervous. I really need to bring my grade up or I am scared it will never get higher! The marking period ends the week of November 17 and I am really nervous that I am going to fail. My teacher told me that he thinks I belong in honors, and was really shocked at my grade. He thinks I know the material but just made stupid mistakes. I am not sure if I should drop the class or not, and just go down to Academic Geometry. He told me he thinks I can do it, but I am so scared that if I fail this test my average will go so far down I won't be able to bring it back up. If I go down to academic my average will follow me, but I will have a better chance and an easier time. Please help me. I really don't want to drop but I am afraid I have no choice. And if you have any tips for transformations (rotations, reflections, translations, dilations, lines of symmetry, etc) please help me! How can I bring my grade up?
Depends on how late you are in your semester/quarter. If your late in the semester then rhe best advice I can give is to study hard for the final (which you should be doing anyways). If your in the middle of the semester you can work extremely hard on assignments to bring your grade up, eventually it should happen given you work hard. If your at the beginning of the semester, just make sure you turn everything in on time and try your best.
I can't bring my grades up?!?
I thought you were done with it ... Right now, you are bringing a *LOT* of negativity to the situation. "I hate my teachers". "I hate school!" . "I'm so done with this ****!." Basically what you are doing with those thoughts is voluntarily programming yourself to fail. It is *impossible* to learn *any* subject if you bring a mindset of "I hate this!" to it. So ......... somehow you need to 'back away' from the 'hate' thought-pattern if you wish to succeed in school (and in life). Wait til high school is over and you have to get a *gasp* JOB ! Will you 'hate' that too? Probably .... unless you lose the "I hate this!" thought-pattern. -------------------- I just say relax ... you have 4 Bs. This is GOOD. You are putting tons of pressure on yourself *for no reason*. You can get into good colleges with 3.0 and 3.2 (B) grade point averages. Some courses are difficult, like health and biology, because there is a lot of memorization involved. *No one is good at every subject.* Well, some people are, because they approach every subject like it is the coolest thing they have ever seen. They have interest in everything. They *do not* have the *I hate this!!* thought-pattern. Lose that thought-pattern, is what I suggest. :)
How much would a 50 point test bring my grade up?
well the next best possible grade is 100% + 69 /2 = 84.5 so you need a 100 to get a B, but the A is no longer possible unless you get extra credit. if you get a 90% that's 159/2 = 79.5 so the instructur might still give you the B. Anything lower than 90% will get you in the C,D, F range.

How did you fail all those years and continue to progress? Anyways, how do you study? Do you pay attention in class? Take notes? Effort goes a long way, especially for something like school. If you focus and put your all into it, I’m sure you can have better grades this year. As for tips for studying and taking notes? I don’t think it’s necessary for me to share what I do (just simple notes on piece of paper that I look over), because some people learn differently than others. Whilst it might be easy for me to just write notes, you might struggle with. Perhaps you’re an auditory learner, so maybe try to sit in the front of the class so you can really engage. You have to find what best works for you.
