How can I change my way of thinking positively?

It simple - make it a habit to think positive.We tend to think negative because we think that others are better off, which may not always be true. Possibly they’re just looking at the brighter side, which makes them happier.In every situation, look at the good side of it. The worst of situations have a better side. Here are some examples -an illness could be worse, you might just be suffering from some cold or a curable diseaseyou might be jobless, but at least you’re not homeless; and you’ll soon find your calling or a suitable job with the qualifications you holdyou may not have too many friends, but the ones that you do have would stand by you through the tough timesI’ve had various similar situations, and I find that while it’s not easy to think positive all the time, it does help in becoming a happier person. This is the least we can do for ourselves.

There a several ways that thinking can be changed. One way is via pain, another through illness and loss of abilities or senses. Our mind must give up the old reality must accept the new reality. Not changing your thinking patterns can be very unhealthy and inconvenient, to say the least.“Thinking patterns” describes about everything that we do. Some mental patterns are under conscious control and others are not.What you are asking is how do we purposefully and rationally change the way we think and act. There may be many ways to do reach those goals but there is one proven method: practice.For practice to work, you ave to know what it is you want to do. But you can’t stop with knowing. Knowing is not doing. Many people say they want to stop smoking and will tell you that they have been trying for a long time, as they light up another cigarette.So, knowing gives you a starting point. Slow and perfect is where you start. Do what you want to practice for one minute. If you can do it perfectly, slowly and perfectly, then try to do it a little faster. When you can do that, try to do it for two minutes. Then three. Then a little faster. And a little faster. If you fail, back up one step, either slower, or for less time, but perfectly.You can teach yourself with practice, if you know exactly what you want to do, and start slowly and perfectly. Some patterns are so complex that you may need help in breaking them down into small enough parts than can be practiced.Some patterns must be replaced with different patterns. To practice, you have to have the new patterns in mind, ready to use when the instant comes when you would habitually use the old pattern.Success will be achieved if you don’t give up. It is often ourselves who stop us from reaching our goals.

Its more like you view things differently because of the way you feel. Each person reacts differently when they're high. To me, it makes me more imaginitive and creative than usual. Thats simply because I think am a creative person to begin with. Try to stop, if you want to quit alltogether then more power to you! It may seem shocking at first, but its not so bad after a while. And also this change of perception comes with all drugs, thats what they do.

It drastically changes the way you think. A vice about books is, it is you who has to distinguish between what is to be adsorbed and what is to be discarded. I have read over 100 books so far and each book teaches me to look at life differently. Once you read something, you start analyzing and then find solutions to various problems. I also read when I come across writer's block as it sparks a idea that seemed on another island.A great example of a book that had a major impact on my thinking is Kite runner. It helped me empathize with others problems. it changed all the relationship ideas I held within me. After I finished reading the book, I cried for 15 mins and that was the moment of realization, I won't be the same person ever again.Every book whether good or bad does teach you something. Reading will definitely make you a better person. It exposes you to people of various characters and circumstances that you don't think about generally. Each book brings with itself a new way of thinking.

How do I change someone's perspective of thinking?

Here is the honest painfull truth. You can’t!!!If a person holds a certain perspective, it is because either they believe it to be true or they believe it serves them in some way to have that perspective.For example, when it comes to religion I would guess many people of faith don’t fully buy into everything taught by their church. Often times leaving the religion comes at the cost of alienating ones family and friends. It makes sense then to hold onto their beliefs at all cost no matter how many contradictions they’re presented with.The same thing can be said about politics. Its a scary thing when a society holds a radical perspective as the norm. I’m sure the majority of S.S. officers in Nazi Germany knew what they were doing was wrong. As much as it is our duty as human beings to try, convincing them to outwardly change their perspective would be next to impossible.Now if you cant change someones perspective on something as radical as jewish people being “the scum of the earth,” what can you hope to accomplish with someones everyday perspectives?With that said, here are some steps to help someone see a new side of an argument.1. ask yourself if they are truely in need of a new perspective. Does it hurt them or the people around them? If the answer is no then leave them be. It will save you a world of frustration.2. If they are, then find out if they believe in their perspective or only hold it because they believe it serves them. The majority of the time it is both.3. If they truely believe, than do everything you can to present the opposing argument in a good light. Show them the facts.4. If they are doubtful of their perspective but it serves them, show them that the opposing arguement could serve them better. Give them a way out.You may not be able to change someones mind but you can help them to change their own.
