Hi! Im Russian. I was a student for 3 years in UK.....first in school and then in uni for one year. Before i went to uni i got a new visa for 3-years. Its a student Visa. But after 1 year i decided to move to France and go to Uni there. So i quit uni in london and moved out of UK. Anyway.... I have a question if i can still use my visa to enter uk? Its says on my visa that it expires in 1.5 years, but im not sure if it got cancelled couse i quit uni or not. I dont know who to ask? Should i call my uni or go to British Embassy or something? I dont really want to call my uni in case they must cancell it but they forgot ...hah or something i dont want to remind them. ( i know the chance of that is pretty slim but still). Dont worry i really dont plan to sneak in and be illegal immigrant or anything like that. I just want to go to London for a week or two this summer to see my friends. And the reason why i would like to use my studnent visa instead of just going to the embassy and getting the new one for one visit is that couse they probably wount get me one. Couse for a Russian to get a tourist visa to UK is a real pain in the ***. You need to get a tour through a travel agency...book a hotel and a flight through them. I really dont need that stuff couse i have where to stay so there is really no point for me to pay for hotel and the tour if im not going to live in it and see the sights.....so its just a waste of money. And getting a visa wiwithoutll this stuff in nearly impossible couse young, single, eastern european girl trtraveling alone and staying just at random adresses apparently looks very suspicious in the eyes of the Embassy. So yeah. Sorry for such a long message i just wanted to explain my situation. I would really appreciate your help. Really need to find out if my visa is valid or not couse obviously i dont want to have any problems at the British border in case its not.
