Neither way is technically correct. You ask a question or a favor of someone. But also consider whether your wording is clear and succinct.“I want to ask a few questions of someone,” is wordy. “I want to ask someone some questions,” is more succinct.“May I ask a favor of you?” is a bit too formal. “May I ask you a favor?” is more standard.

I am totally new to this forum and kinda bad with computers. But, I stumbled on an answer to a question that was absolutely spot on and when I clicked on the profile name it brought me to a page that had other questions this person answered. Those were also all brilliant. Now I want to contact this profile personally but Yahoo Answers said I had to sign up and do points and levels and all that jargon and now I am here asking this question, which is quite important for me to ask many more questions. When a person becomes a Top Contributor, do I need to receive an email notifying me that?
I have been on this site since creation of dirt, well july 06, and never seen that notification. that's pretty cool Level 2 with a T.C. badge. Gurl, who has time to compute how many questions and answers (best) to really keep that up. Let Yahoo do it. Stay in that category and answer to get best answer on a regular basis. I just lost my Valentine's day one. Guess what I have not been in it since 2/14. the others I keep something going to keep them up. Remember YOU can vote yourself best answer, so check and see if you have any tiebreaker or questions you've answered in voting state.
How can I report trolls that ask questions that have no basis of truth?
I have been noticing this in the baseball section, that a bunch of trolls have been hitting on a specific team, and making mention of the topic of steroid abuse that hasnt even been in the news in weeks, and are trying to make a bunch of players look bad. Some of them use bad grammar and spelling, and always use Hmmm in their questions which to me is more annoying than ThIS aNd ThIs. I keep telling them that I question their maturity which I do in most cases, and for them to grow up and drop the manner in my questions because its everyday they ask the same type of questions. And many others I know feel the same way I do. To make matters worse, they always pick this one person as best answer who always has the answer that make the question look good, and thanks to that this user is a top contributor. I reported one for using adult content who according to the user is only 15, but I doubt anything will be dont about that. Am I making sense here? And is there anything else I can do?
You cannot ask a direct question to more than one users.You can write an open question and ask specific users to answer it ("Ask to answer" link on the right). To demonstrate, I asked the 2 followers of the question to answer it.Declaring in the question title or details that the question is meant to be answered exclusively by a specific set of users (f.e. women, programmers, French people) is generally frowned upon. But of course one has the right to disregard answers that come from people not fitting the desired demographic.

I have the yahoo email address they are coming from, and I think Yahoo should shut them down, and yet there is seemingly no way for me to report the information I have directly to Yahoo. I have given Yahoo a great deal of money over the years, is there really no way for me to get satisfaction?
