Potluck recipe idea - traveling 2 hours in car?

A very easy one that travels well - you'll have to adjust the amount and size serving dish to fit your group.

Get enough mushrooms for every one to have at least four (either whole canned or fresh button) - wash fresh ones, drain canned ones. Put them in a nice casserole or glass baking dish. Pour a good Italian dressing (I prefer Newmann's) over them the day before you're going to the potluck, so they can marinate. It's best if you can carry them in a cooler, but, because of the vinegar in the dressing, they can be carried wrapped in a towel to keep them coolish.

Another simple and well liked one, if you'll have access to a stove when you get there - get a bottle of barbecue sauce (not spicy, since not everyone likes (or can eat) spicy and a package of the little cocktail smoked sausage (or more - just one bottle to one pack) - keep the sausages cool until you get there - put them together and heat them up and serve.

3 bean salad is another good one (and easy) - canned or frozen french cut green beans, canned kidney beans and whatever other canned beans you like (you can use the yellow snap beans, or the canned black beans, or even canned pinto beans). Drain all of the cans (or cook the frozen green beans, if you use those), rinse the kidney beans and the others. Thinly slice an onion (red onions look really nice and give more color). mix the beans and onion in a bowl or casserole dish, pour Italian dressing over them. Carry them in a cooler (you want these chilled - they taste better cold or cool).

How can I brush/comb out hair that hasn't been brushed/combed in 60 days, is long and full of LOTS of tangles?

I can't speak to how much you can physically do after this injury, but I can speak to the best way of getting out major tangles and mattes in hair. Don't get the hair wet first, as wet hair is more prone to breakage. You can, however, drench it in conditioner. Like, a LOT of conditioner, focused on the tangles. Use either a wide tooth comb or a brush. If you use a brush, look at it first. Most brushes will have their bristles in straight lines going one direction, and in random order going another direction. See how, going long ways, the bristles are in a straight line? Use the brush with the handle pointing straight down so that it catches the hair less (it detangles better and damages the hair less). Wide tooth combs won't damage the hair, but fine tooth will rip at it. Work slowly, taking breaks if you need to, but whatever you do don't rip at it or pull too hard. Start from the bottom of your hair and work up slowly. Prepare yourself for the possibility of losing a lot of hair. Even being very careful, you're going to break quite a bit of it and pull a lot out. You'll likely have to cut it a bit shorter (best case scenario), and it'll likely be thinner for a while until it grows back.I'm sorry to say that sometimes, if hair mattes too much, it isn't salvagable. I've had to cut out mattes in peoples hair a few times (after working on it for a full day at the salon, literally for a full 8 1/2 hours with multiple people helping), sometimes it's just too much. Try your hardest, but you might have to cut them out. Good luck! I'm so sorry about your injury, and I hope your hair returns to it's healthy glory!

How fast do aloe Vera stalks regenerate after being cut?

Not an expert here, but i believe that it is easy to grow Aloe Vera from a broken leaf. Just dry the leaf for a day or two and plonk into most cactus soil. Don't water too much as they are native to arid regions. Give it a month and the leaf should start forming roots. Soon you will have a nice healthy Aloe plant. The stem or stalk of an Aloe plant is typically very small, under a foot, and many Aloes are stemless. So use a leaf.

Can I use a conventional oven to make shank-n-bake chicken and pork chops?

Our stove went out the other day, so I was wondering, can you cook things like that in a conventional oven? The thought never crossed my mind until it went out, and well, today I am headed to the store, finally!

What kind of roast beef comes out tender and falls apart with a fork? Do I get chuck, bottom round, etc.?

Any cut of beef will do what you are asking for if you cook it long enough or in the correct way. But let’s assume you mean a roast cut, based on the list of options in your question, and you want to cook it on a stove/oven appliance and not something weird like Sous Vide, or in a smoker.I would choose a chuck roast for a couple of reasons. First, they are relatively cheap. Second, they are pretty much fool proof to cook “tender and falls apart with a fork”. Third, they are delicious.Go get yourself a chuck roast with the bone in at the store. Bring it home and sear it on both sides on the stove top in a CAST IRON SKILLET, in some very hot oil just to get some brown on the outside of it. Then throw some chopped onions (1), carrots (2) and celery stalks (2) in the pan with the meat. Salt an pepper generously. Cover the pan with aluminum foil TIGHTLY and shove it in an over set for 250 degrees Fahrenheit for about three to four hours. You will get the tender, falls apart with a fork meat you desire. Guaranteed.
