How Can I Fall Asleep And Stay Asleep

If I make my foot fall asleep and let it stay asleep for a while can that be bad?

Please disregard the previous posts, for the most part they are incorrect/uninformed.

The tingling and eventual numbness you feel is due to lack of [enough] oxygen in the tissue. Your limb falls asleep because pressure is being put on an artery that leads to that area of your body and cuts off your circulation, and it IS possible to cut off all circulation, there are many routes blood takes to circulate the body.

THIS IS BAD! All cells/tissue need oxygen and cannot survive without it. If you continue to allow your foot to be asleep for too long then these cells/tissues will start to deteriorate and eventually die. The result in this will be amputation. It would take a while for this to happen (an exact amount of time I can't say), but it is best that you change position as soon as you feel it coming on or, if you don't realize it has fallen asleep, as soon as you do notice it.

How to make someone fall asleep and stay asleep?

Hmm.. crush and ambien and slip it in a cup of his preffered beverage pour yourself a cup and him a cup, of course no ambien in your cup lol, that if you have acces to ambien other then that im out of answers,

EDIT: if your 14 you can not obtain ambien, or chloroform legally, so the only thing i cant come up with is sleepytime tea or go to duane reade or something and look for something called dream water and slip that into his beverage also he might notice the taste a bit though,

How can I fall asleep and stay asleep to rest my body?

There is one 4–7–8 method that can tremendously to bring sleep, relax and stay asleep till the body needs rest. I had sleepless nights for some years and tried different methods. Finally I found this one. Courtesy - YouTube video of Dr. Andrew Weil. I'm also attaching a link to the video. It focuses on breathing, holding the breathe and releasing it. 4–7–8 is the time for it. They are not seconds but a general quick count for which you can hold and release your breath. I consider it like 2 beats in a second. That's the speed I follow. Consider it to be 120 beats per minute in case you want to check it on metronome.Method:For 4 beats inhale from noseFor 7 beats hold the breathFor 8 beats release the breath through mouth. You can release the breath keeping the mouth in ‘O’ shape and releasing the breath with a sound like the wind blows. Now in the beginning you will feel kind of nausea, breathlessness or wierd. But you'll get a grip of it. Start with less repeats. Then you can do it around for 5 to 8 minutes. You have to do this while you lie down on the bed at night. Even at noon, at office, work, home, anywhere do this for 5 minutes and you can take a power nap. This will surely help you get a good and necessary sleep.

I can fall asleep, I just can't STAY asleep, HELP!?

You should see your doctor. Adderall is not the drug for you. There are many other choices, or maybe even an adjusted dose. You should not try to take anything for sleep until you have your medication changed. You should not be feeling that way when awake either. If you have ADD (which I am assuming since you didn't mention it) you should be calmed by your medication, not hyped up. Maybe you don't have ADD at all.... My son has it and takes Concerta. If he does not take it, he is completely hyper and difficult to be around. Once he takes it, he can calm down and focus. This does not sound like what is happening for you. You should see your doctor right away.

How can you fall asleep in less than 5 minutes and stay asleep?

I must admit I cheat.I suffer from a disease of hypersomnolence, is too much sleeping. I have sleep attacks in the daytime (when not taking medication to stay awake) and I can go to sleep as my head hits the pillow.I then 'nap' for a few hours; deep and untroubled, and nothing wakes me. When I do wake normally, it isn't easy, and I often go back to sleep for a bit more and spend a good 90 mins trying to get fully conscious and alertSo my sleep has its downsides.
