How Can I Get More Protein

More protein or more calories?

I want to start gaining muscle and i go to the gym for weightlifting everyday, but i read online that the only way you're going to gain muscle mass is by consuming more good calories than you burn off. I am afraid that if i consume more calories than i burn off, i will gain fat not muscle. I think that the more protein i consume the more muscle mass i will be able to gain. Which is true? I'm not sure

I'm trying to go on a protein diet since I'm working out at the gym in hopes of gaining some muscles. I was wondering which has more protein, chicken or beef/steak? Because I heard from some people that it's beef, but some also say it's chicken because steak contains a lot more fat, but I don't know. Someone please help and I'll pick the best answer, THANKS!!!!
