Should channels like CNBC AWAAZ or ET-NOW trusted with their investment advice?
You can’t blindly follow anybody but yourself to take investment decisions. Coming to your question channels mentioned are hugely popular and I have literally seen people making trading decisions based on the recommendations. But those are the people who are trading full time or else have huge sum of money.I personally donot follow the recommendations but take those as ideas and then conduct my own research. Sure if you want to test the thesis you can invest paltry sum to see whether those work or not.I thing that I don’t like is that most of the advice is on buy side and no clear direction is given on sell side. I myself have experimented a lot in the manner as mentioned above by investing small sums.In my opinion advice by Vijay Kedia, Porinju Veliyath and 60% by SP Tulsiyan works.Daljeet Kohli is great in analyzing pharma companies and I have personally gain pretty profit from his recommendation. Other than pharma I don’t follow him.EDIT 1:I generally make virtual portfolio on Moneybhai and name it like “Vijay Kedia Recommendations” and observe it for 1 year and then form conviction whether to invest in stocks recommended by Vijay Kedia or not.
E.T. (1982 movie): Did you find ET scary when you were a kid?
I saw ET when I was 8 at a theater with my dad and sister. My mom was home very pregnant with my brother. I think I was slightly scared at the part where the science guys put a sheet around the house and a tube leading to their white vans, and then basically kidnap the alien. I was not scared by the character of ET. I wanted my own. Lol.
