Can Canada Post track a package without a tracking number?

I sent four books to my school about 4 months ago, and I just got a letter from my school today saying that they did not receive 2 of the books. I find it really odd that they got 2 and did not get the other 2 when they were all in the same package. I want to call Canada Post to see how this even happened, but there was no tracking number on the package. How do I adress the issue? I will also call my school tomorrow morning and see what can be done about it, in terms of my course, because they said if the books aren't returned, I won't get my credit. =(

Some one please help!!!!? How can i track my shipment without a tracking number? USPS?

The USPS has several ways of tracking a package. You should have received a receipt from your shipment. You can use the receipt number to track the package.

You can also look at your bank's account summary and see if they posted a charge to your account for the shipment. If they have, hopefully they will have referenced a bill# or receipt #.

Finally if that doesn't work, you can find out what post office delivers to the recipient and see if they have a package for the name and address of the person you are attempting to send the package to. If it is there, then your customer can go pick it up there. (In some cases the USPS will not put a large package in a mailbox or leave it at your door if a signature is required. Instead they will just take it back to the post office and let it sit there until the recipient comes and gets it.)

Tracking USPS package without tracking number.?

Here's a wild guess. I would bet that the package was delivered and the buyer, being somewhat less than honest, is saying that it didn't arrive. Now they want their money back. This is common when people who sell things online fail to protect themselves.

Here is what you do. You can make a Lost Mail report here:

http://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/... can't do this until 14 days after the date of mailing. Tell the buyer that you are making this report to the Postal Inspectors. Also tell the buyer that they may be contacted by the Inspectors to get a sworn statement from them, stating that it was not delivered.

Usually, if the buyer is running a scam, the package magically appears. Not too many people want to face a Postal Inspector. Certainly do make the report because there is just as much a chance that it was not received.

Next time, use a confirmation service. Delivery Confirmation is less than a buck. Cheap insurance to be able to see if something has been delivered or not if you ask me.

Can I look up a certified mail tracking number without the slip from the post office? ?

I mailed something last night through the automated post office machines. In a stupid move on my part, I forgot to tear off and keep the slip with the tracking info so I could email the person I was mailing with that information. I'm wondering if there is a way I can either look up or have the post office look up this information. I know it's a long shot, but I kind of need that info...maybe there is a super secret post office portal they can use. Thanks in advance.

What can I do if I lost my tracking number for USPS?

That’s frustrating. There may be hope, but it’s not always easy. When helping a customer with this, I got REALLY creative. Some options to explore though:Customs Form - It did go overseas.Pictures from Phone - Maybe you’ve got one in your history. Check Google Back-Up if you deleted the photo.Check Internet Search History - If you searched for the package location in the past. Scour that history bar, cookies, etc.Give Clerk Every Detail You Can - They should help out a lot if you can both work together and be patient while looking through any records they may have. Honestly, things can get disorganized VERY easily at a post office. There’s a lot to organize, and it’s always moving. Tip: Look at Bank Statement for date of original postage purchase.Call USPS Customer Service - Do same as #4. I never wish this option on anybody. But despite my disdain for monotonous tasks when I worked for USPS, I would break my back for the people who came in to the store. They were what I looked forward to when I woke up to go to work Mon.-Sat. at 4 in the morning. But you may have to go with this option.-I hope you find that package.

Can i pick up a package at post office without a slip?

I see no reason why not.
Take some photo ID, but also something linking your name to the address (utility bill or something) to be extra safe.

Check on the online tracker, just to make sure its still at the Office.

The slip is just a note to inform you that something wasn't delivered. It also serves to show that you live in the property (you had to have access to get the slip), so thats why I suggested a utility bill.
