How Can I Get These Video Games Cheap

What are the best cheap video games?

Terraria is one of my favorite games ever, I can’t recommend it enough, and it costs pocket change at 4 pounds 99 pence. (3 dollars ish). Excellent developers and a nice fanbase. There is lots of content and can keep you going for hours.Minecraft is a decent game, not as good as terraria in my opinion, but it was also low at something like 17.99 GBP. Ok this is more expensive, and the developers aren’t as good, but still cheap in todays standards.Rocket League is ok on your own, great with a friend. Ok, unlike Terraria it doesn’t have much variety in it’s content, you just do the same thing over and over, but it is fun and somewhat cheap at about 15.00 I think.Who says you have to pay? There are many games for free that are fun!Do you want to know some games I didn’t enjoy?Just Cause 3 - 30.00 for a rushed game, painfully close to being good, if only the developers caredCall Of Duty Advanced Warfare - 45.00 After 1 year the developers completely disown itUncharted 4 - 40.00 Pretty linear, while it was ok, definitely boring to replay

Where can one buy cheap video games?

I see that G2A.COM has already been recommended. That is indeed one of the best places out there. However, I personally prefer a platform where even the cheap games go on sale- on g2a rarely games go on sale except for a few selected items. For that reason I kind of prefer Kinguin.net . They also give you a cashback amount for every purchase you make and the game categories are neatly organized. They would directly inform you via email if a product on your wishlist goes on sale and that’s pretty handy if you have a busy schedule like me.Recently I bought Yomawari : Night Alone which is like 20 bucks on steam but was like freaking $1.20 on Kinguin.Don’t believe me? Check the screenshots.Price on steam:And the price on KinguinSo yeah that was a great deal which I was proud of and it was all possible thanks to Kinguin.

Are video games cheaper in Japan?

Some are, some aren't. I've seen games range from 3,000 yen (about 30 dollars) to 9,000 yen (close to 90 dollars). Why these are more expensive than others are beyond me. Your guess is as good as mine. From what I've seen it doesn't even have to do with the age of the game, either.

Amazon is pretty fair. You could check it out.

No, its hard to go individual site and do price comparison.

I always google for game as they grab all sites pricing on one page, which includes Amazon, ebay, individual seller, and/or auction sites... everything, very convenience.

Where is the cheapest place to buy retro video games?

There are tons of methods for you to find retro video games for cheap. If you know what you are doing you can get some pretty good deals on eBay, especially with the best offer option. What will probably always be the cheapest way to find retro games is at flea markets and some thrift stores. Don’t exclude Garage sales. These are pretty much the only options you have if you ever want to find a valuable game for a decent price. Other than that if you know what game you want and you want it now you can use online shops like Shop - Radge Games Online Retro Video Game Shop

Why are video games much cheaper on Amazon?

Usually because Best Buy can get wholesale games and then keep the standard markup across it’s stores, but Amazon anyone with access to a wholesale copy can sell it at whatever marginal profit they want to. Look at it like this, Best Buy sells everything at a markup, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to pay for their lights and toilets and unhelpful staff. They can buy games at a discount from manufacturers because software developers don’t want to deal with returns and shipping and the unwashed masses, they just want to get rid of their copies to someone who will do that for them, so they say, best buy, we’ll give you 100,000 copies at $25/ each, no refunds or exchanges, and we don’t want to talk to you again unless you run out and need to buy more. Because they have full control over the pricing of anything they buy, they decided that Uncharted 4 $25 wholesale game should be $60, since Halo sells at $60, CoD sells at $60, ect. so they put that price up in all their stores, and THUS IT WAS SO.Amazon on the other hand is like a giant fleemarket, so when Paul Brady’s cousin knows a guy that can store $25 copies at wholesale price, ‘ol Paul logs in and sells his copies for $40, until that weasel Tim Calahoon gets 18 copies that fell off the back of the Best Buy truck and starts selling his for $35 per copy so he can clear out his inventory first. This is a colorful simplification of the business processes which drive the price difference but it is fundamentally accurate, if you take out a bunch of layers of complexity and fictionalize the Amazon resellers.Amazon has an amazing return policy so if you think there’s anything wrong with the game you can always return it, but there shouldn’t be as long as you don’t buy from warehouse deals and you make sure it’s a new condition item (Amazon sells used items as well).

What console genre video games are cheap to make? What genre should a start up video game company should make?

in my opinion these are from cheapest to reasonably costly (you don’t need to spend too much)Retro-simple style (breakouts, tetris, pongs, etc.)Arcade-style (shmups, beat them ups, etc).Board Games (chess, go, etc.)Visual Novels.Adventure games with QTE.Shooters.Platformers.There is no particular genre to start. I suggest to play with different concepts, then move to a prototype, if you see potential go full throttle with the game.

Why are video games still so cheap in spite of inflation and the escalating costs of development, marketing, publishing, etc?

You do realize that Steam and other online distribution platforms allowed cuts in publishing? You also realize that we’ve reached the point of much higher base of potential gamers-consumers?You do realize that games moved from single payment model to subscription based, in-game currencies or DLCs?Maybe base Sims 4 will make your wallet 60$ lighter, but each add-on or “DLC” will set you back from 10 to 40 bucks. In this case, whole collection will cost you 60+280=320 dollars - and the same happened with Sims, Sims 2, Sims 3 - each time those same things are excluded from basic game and sold separately. You get lootboxes(EU might limit those things since they’re basically gambling).Besides, games you buy once and don’t pay the developers later, have shorter suport life - there’s another cost cutting. Instead of supporting product for many years, at best you get two. Say “bye-bye” to stability improvements, additional free content, support for new hardware or just regular bug-fixing.
