How to export phone contacts from gmail to computer?

Yes. If you have an Android phone then you can "sync" your contacts stored on the phones memory or the sim card with the contacts stored in a gmail account. You go to settings on your phone and choose the "Accounts and Sync" option and choose "Auto Sync".

There are many ways of then getting these contact details onto your PC as csv file that can be read by Excel or other spreadsheet software. To some extent it depends on the make of your droid [you give no info on the manufacturer, which would have helped more focused advice]. if you have a Samsung droid then use the free "Kies" software from here:
http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/useful...

Install it on your PC and then connect your android handset by the supplied USB cable and open the software and you can export/import contacts from your google account, phone and PC and then save them to a variety of formats including VCF and CSV.
If you have another make of droid then go to the manufacturers support site to download whatever software they use in place of KIES.

You can also do this without software by choosing the "export" option in Gmail. Open your Gmail contacts and then click on the "more" button at the top and choose "Export".
You can choose to export all the contact info as either a CSV [compatible with Excel and other spreadsheet software], VCF [natively compatible with Windows PC's] or a CSV format specifically for Outlook [if you use Outlook].
