How Can I Keep Stick On Nail Strips From Rolling Up At The Tip

My blue tack that holds up my posters won't stick.?

Well try this. Soften the blue tack with heat from your hands.....then roll into a ball of about 1/2 inch Dia. then push poster and blue tack against the wall.
You may not be using enough blue tack for weight of poster....so add more than just the 4 corners...to stick the poster up and use enough.
It could be something to do with the surface of the wall. If this does not work try needle point pins as they don't leave a big hole on removal for further painting down the line.

Need tips for painting white on white. I can't see what I'm doing.?

Several tips here that will be helpful.

1) De-lint roller covers before using a long strip of masking tape. Stretch out the tape and roll the roller cover over it. the lint will stick to the tape.

2) never use cheap roller covers.

3) Use only enough pressure on the roller to make light contact with the ceiling. More pressure will cause you to put more pressure on one side of the roller than the other causing you to roll a bead of paint on the ceiling.

4) Roll one directions to spread the paint in about a 3' by 3' square, then immediately roll over the square at right angles to the application.

5) If the ceilings are smooth, be sure to use a short nap roller cover. A longer nap will hold more paint but will result in a rougher surface, more paint used, and a greater likely-hood that you will leave a bead of paint.

6) You can get ceiling paint that changes color to white as it drys. It will make it easier to see while you are painting, but cost slightly more.

Hope this helps!

EDIT: You mentioned that you are trying to find something to add to your paint that will change the color until it drys. I've never seen a paint additive like that. However I do know for sure that Home Depot sells the ceiling paint that starts with a light color(usually pink or blue), then changes to white as it drys.

You also mentioned that you want the ceilings to be simi-gloss. Two things here. First the the higher the gloss the more any imperfections with show(painting or surface). Second the higher gloss paints are even harder to use and not leave a roller bead behind. Final point...... Years ago you had to go to a simigloss, or high gloss to get a washable paint. Most all good paints are washable these days. Just be sure to check the label.
BTW Washing rollers to remove the lint is not a good way to do it. As I stated in my initial answer. Best to put them on the roller frame and roll them against a strip (3' to 4') long of maskinf or painters tape. That will get off the lint.

Ideas for sticking cards to walls not using blue-tak/prestic/crazy glue?

There's something called "painter's tape". It's blue. Painters use it because it comes off easily without damaging the surface - there might be a slight adhesive residue which will wash off.

Cut the tape into 4 inch strips and roll it into a circle so that you can place it on the back of the cards and it will stick to both the card and the wall, without showing any sign of how the cards are attached.

I did this in my dorm room at college, but used scotch tape and it pulled the paint off the walls when I tried to remove it.

Decorations: What is the best way to stick paper to a wall without permanently altering either?

Use masking tape, but before you stick it on the wall, stick it to your pants or shirt first so it collects the fibers. The fibers will keep it from ruining your wall AND ruining the pictures. This is something watercolor artists use to tape their paper down to their desks/tables so it doesn't curl.

How do you remove nail glue after wearing false nails?

Some nail glues can be removed with acetone, but some don’t. It depends on what is its quality. Acetone is the least damaging option but if you can’t remove it by soaking your nails in acetone and then removing it carefully and easily with something hard(try not to use metal tools), all you have to do is filing it with a nail file but taking care not to scratch your nails or to damage them with anything. After you try either of this methods, hydrate your nails with cuticle cream or cuticle oil.If none of these options suits you, all you have to do is wait for your nails to grow and remove the glue by cutting your nails. Also, in the future, please try to avoid nail glue and fake nails. If you don’t like natural nails, opt for built ones like acrylic nails. However, if you decide to enjoy your natural nails or you just ant inspiration for your next manicure, I have a few cute nail art designs here:

How can I hang up my flags from my bedroom ceiling?

There are a number of ways to hang things from walls or ceilings but many of them involve damaging the drywall, sheetrock or plaster surface. A few weeks ago I wrote a post about how to hang things from walls or ceilings without damage that may help.Since the flags are very lightweight, I’d recommend using the Command Hooks as they can hold up to a few pounds and are very easy to remove with no damage to the ceiling surface. I hope this helps!

Does it cost money to have you fake nails removed at the nail salon?

At my salon they charge $7 to soak them off. If you take them off yourself make sure they are old so it will be easier. Take Fingernail clippers and clip the tips off. Then take like the thin types of nail filers and work your way into sliding the under your nails to seperate them from your real nail and fake nail. It will take time and it might hurt And your nail might get damaged

How do you apply silicone caulk without using a gun?

A t-shaped stick (like the handle of a hammer) can be used when you have no caulking gun. Put the long end into the back of the tube and the t part in the crook of your elbow. Firmly grasp the tube with the same hand. By bending your wrist towards your elbow you can create enough pressure to deliver the caulk. For extra steadiness, guide the front of the tube with your other hand.I've done this a few times. It works well enough.
