Can I lose 25-30 pounds over the summer?

Today is the first day of summer break, and starting tomorrow I want to begin losing weight so when I go back to school in September I'll look amazing. I'm 16 years old & I've already been through losing weight before, I lost 30 pounds about a year ago (I went from 190 lbs to 160 lbs), but since then I've gained 8 pounds back.

I now weigh 168 pounds (76 kgs) and I'm 5'4" (162.56 cm)

My first goal weight is 140-145 pounds since that's the healthy normal weight for my height. (After I get down to that weight, I'm going to work more on toning and getting fit, I just want to lose the weight right now) I know I need to workout and eat healthy, no carbs after lunch and all that. But is it possible for me to lose this much weight in just 10 weeks? I want to look thin and different by the time I go back to school and start my Junior year of High School, I want to finally look how I've always wanted to look and I'm going to be strict on myself this summer. Any things I should know in order to lose the amount of weight I want this summer?

How can I lose the freshman 15 over the summer?

I was 125 in August and now that its May I am 140. I am only 5'1 so this gain is very obvious. Realistically I would like to be 130 by August. I've stopped drinking alcohol and I'm not eating on meal plan this summer so I expected to easily drop the first 5 pounds but it's been 2 weeks and I haven't lost any. I can't afford a gym membership/expensive weight loss pills/organic foods.
I was wondering if there is a free website that can keep me on track for weight loss or anything like that?

lol, I go to school, and during the summer I put on some weight. I do workout harder during the summer, so maybe its muscle. It seems like I use the extra time to eat, lol. I've went from 160 (at the end of football season in October--I ran a lot and lost some pounds during the season) to 175 right now.

So I gained five pounds from when summer started until now, and even more since football ended.

Not fat looking, but I have gained.

You should go out and do some things, play some b-ball, do something that makes you move and burn calories. If you don't look or feel fat now, you could probably put on another 5-10 without getting fat. Really depends on your height though.

what you would want to do is make sure your body is burning fat as quick as possible you do this by increasing METABOLISM! you can do this by:

Eating smaller and more frequent meals instead of eating 3 times a day eat 5-6 meals consisting of 250-300 cal per meal

weight and resistance training

although i strongly recommend doing both if you have to choose between cardio and weight and resistance choose weight and resistance training because the more muscle you have the faster your metabolism is (1 pound of muscle = 50 calories) and doing too much cardio can lose muscle.

when i say cardio alot of people will think of jogging no no no and no! that for me is the worst form of cardio you can jog for hours and get minimal results make sure you sprint instead of jogging (10 min session sprint for 1 min rest 1 min WAY MORE EFFECTIVE!) now if you look at a long distance runner compared to a sprinter you can see a clear difference a long distance runner looks like its been starved and deprived of food while a sprinter is lean and ripped you could also try body weight cardio (look for an excerise called M'100s i would bet my life that you wouldnt be able to complete that excerise first time asking it takes like 3-5 mins to do)

Finally make sure you workouts are short and intense you really shouldnt be working out over 45 mins!

i'm a 16 year old girl. i'm 5'2'' and around 145 pounds. i'd like to get down to around 115-120 by the time school starts again in the fall, which is around august 28th. so that's about 3 months away. how should i go about losing this weight? what should i eat? what kinds of exercises should i do? how long should i work out for? how many times per week?

please, no diet pills or anything. i want to do this completely naturally.

How to lose side fat?!?

you cant loose only your side fat, that is impossible. but if you loose your side fat you will loose your belly fat as well. the hardest time to loose weight is summer, all the ice-cream and candy, pizza and just laying on the beach, if you really want to loose fat it is not impossible. get up a hour before the person who gets up first in your family (mom, dad, sister, brother, grandmother, granddad, aunt, uncle, cousin) and jog for that hour. then when you get back home, don't sit in-front of the tv and eat popcorn but get yourself something healthy like yogurt, just plain white yogurt. than babysit the noisiest kid in town and the one that is most active too, so you will loose more energy. after that you can lay down for a nap like for a hour or so, than do some sit ups, push ups, and more sit ups (do 30 push ups and no less than 90 sit ups at a time). next have your lunch maybe a home made sandwich with olives, and some other vegetables. after that jog for another hour and then do whatever you like. unhealthy food (McDonald, KFC, french fries, pizza and others that contain fats) are to be eaten only 6 times your whole vacation. oh yes when you go to the sea, ocion or whatever other place with much water you will go to swim for 5 hours each day, before supper for 2 and a half hours and after your morning jog for 2 and a half hours. if there are no noisy kids to babysit than you can do some more joging or a favourite sport of yours. but that sould not take more than 2 hours each day
Have fun and remember that you will look just goargus when you go back to school oh yes shopping you should do that at the end of your vacation because you would look so different than before have fun!!!!!!!!!!
