Is it ok to mix hair dye in a plastic yoghurt container?
I know it's a weirdly specific question :P But I don't have any regular plastic bowls at home that I can use for hair dye (because I use them all for storing food). I do have an empty (obviously clean) plastic bowl/cup-thingy. But because the plastic is thinner than a regular plastic bowl I'm worried it might.. melt or something. But plastic shouldn't melt when it comes in contact with hair dye right? I probably should just go out and buy a plastic bowl to use only for hair dye. But I'm just asking to be sure. It would probably be best to buy two boxes or bottles of hair dye. Start with one and just in case one wasn't enough you'll have a second one. I have to do this all the time. Hope I helped :)
Hair bleaching: will any plastic container do?
I'm gonna bleach my hair today. I keep hearing that I never should use metal containers to put the bleach in, and that's fair enough. But I was wondering if any kind of plastic container/bowl will do? Will it have to be thick or can it just be a container of whatever kind? I don't have any lying around, and there aren't any stores nearby so I can get a "proper" one made for hair bleach. But I do have some random plastic containers that's had sweets and cookies and such in them. Will they work?
How to keep hair dye from exploding?
The dye won't explode when it's in your hair, put it on whatever you wanna dye, then throw out the container. And wash out the dye after the correct time has gone by. They tell you to throw out the container when done because they don't want you to save the container because there is a risk of it exploding.
Can I reuse hair dye if i don't use it all?
I have blonde hair, and I want to dye a strip of my hair blue. Im using the blue envy by Splat hair dye. I did this before and my hair faded to gray... is it possible to only use a little bit of the hair dye in the box, and save the rest for later?
If you have remaining hair dye, after being mixed with developer. Can you save it and add it to conditioner to keep your color fresh? I am assuming the peroxide is fairly inactive after awhile, just curios?
It will oxidise and quickly turn inactive after about 4 days
Temporary hair dye?
Theres this stuff you can usually buy at walgreens. It comes in a cylantrical can with the color on the top of the hair dye. theres a girl with snakebites (piercings on lower lips 2 of them) on the container. I dyed my hair blonde (i have blakca hair) and it washes out in the shower. Its not like platinum blonde but its like dirty blonde very real looking. Its in teh hiar brushes section (or around there ) and there $1.00 a can. One can will cover like 1/2 of your head and i ahve long ahir so get like 2 or 3 cans. :] Gewd Luck -Miah
How do i dye my hair with two boxes?
Just put both of the bottles of color into one container of the other fluid. It might not all fit though, so it might be advisable to use a bigger container. However, I corrected my hair color which had discolored by buying 3 boxes of Loreal Preference and putting the 3rd dye into the first two kits half and half. But it came out pretty dark... It did fix the discoloration. And I have a lot of hair. It was what the Loreal person on the phone recommended though. However instead of buying two kits I really would recommend the Coleur Experte with the highlight kit, since then you only have to buy one and the highlights are more subtle and natural looking, I really liked that kind, it looked gorgeous. It comes out better if you have a friend do the highlights.
