How Can I Make My Dress Look Prettier

What makes a girl look pretty?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, always remember that! Find what fits you best. I always thought that small, mysterious eyes looked better on myself but one day I tried a makeup style that widened my eyes and made them look big and bright and found that to fit me better. I always get more compliments when my hair is straightened and that sleek, polished look is something that I find a lot of guys like.

Since you are going to a dress up event I recommend you go for the polished look. Depending on your age, you can dress maturely (ie. skirt, black tights, heeled sandals, tucked in top and a blazer, statement necklace) or more flirty and fun...
Here are some examples of that:

I do feel as though if you dress nicer than that makes a girl look prettier- at least, I feel prettier when I dress more nicely. Hope this helps!

Should I be jealous if my boyfriend looks better in my prom dress than I do?

Maybe not, lets look at this thing in further detail, how far can he maintain the Websters unabridged atop the head and walk, looking straight ahead,in heels, and still be able to light his cigar.hmm, and what about the famed pencil test
will he pass or fail! and finally the all important day after test, can we still look at him in the morning and still want to put that corsage on him with all the fervor
that we had the night before! If you can answer yes to these 3 questions then by all means be Jealous with attitude!JuJu

Do girls look prettier when they dress up in Indian getup or Western clothes?

I would say, much depends on the personal preferences of the people. Some answers would say that Indian attire indeed does look better and some would often quote "beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder!". None of these is wrong per se.It is really difficult to define "prettier". Most people have their own perception of beauty. There is no definitive set of traits that can be associated with the term "beauty" in the context of girls. So again, it varies from person to person. If the person in general likes western clothes, girls will tend to appear prettier in western clothes. If one is used to seeing girls in Indian clothes, girls will appear cuter in Indian clothes. Never forget that humans are always biased towards what is familiar to them. Now you will understand the reason for my anonymity. I used to live in northern parts of India and was used to seeing generally fair complexioned people all around. While I never held any prejudice based on skin colour, I also never found myself being attracted to a dark-skinned girl. Then I moved to south India. In the southern parts of our country, darker skin colour is very common. In a couple of months I got used to my new surroundings. Over time I found myself getting used dark skins and started finding it attractive. I no longer think that dark skinned girls are not attractive. It was just a matter of getting used to it.I have seen girls in Indian as well as western attire since my childhood. I do not hold any bias towards any of those. I find that girls mostly appear cuter in western clothing (jeans, skirt) and they look more graceful in Indian clothing (saree, kurti). So please wear what you feel most comfortable in and what is appropriate for the surroundings. Everyone is beautiful in their own way and don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise. Anyone who thinks you are ugly is not someone you want to know. Stay away from them.Your clothes do not define who you are, your actions do.

What is the best way for a "petite" girl to look attractive in a dress?

Unfortunately? petite girls end up looking young when they dress up. But you can still look good, and even sophisticated. I'm a 32B (same as Emma Watson and Taylor Swift, if the number eludes, and not like Katy Perry or Kim Kardashian) and 5'1, and I have a pear shaped figure, but it's not all bad. Here's a few hacks I've learnt: Floor length dresses (with mermaid bottom if you're pear) will always make you look taller:And you can wear cut out dresses really really well if you're smaller up top:Yes, you can wear what you see below and still look amazing. It won't work if you're too curvy because these dresses tend to billow out oddly and cling if you don't have the body for it. But her figure below is perfect for this dress:Any off-the-shoulder dresses will look stunning because you have a slender neck and collarbone too. I loved this one when I saw it:And this one too:And of course, never forget these:

My prom dress doent make me feel pretty?

you're not being a brat, you want to feel confident and beautiful and that's what prom is all about
I looked in store after store after store and couldn't find a single dress that I loved. I felt so pressured to just get one that looked okay but it made me really sad cause I didn't feel confident in it. but then I was looking online and found a dress and literally fell in love at first sight. but it was in a place made in china which was risky but I ordered it because it was the only dress I wanted and it was worth it. I can't wait for my dress to come and now I'm excited about prom!

now to your issue

you need to tell your dad exactly what you're telling us. you need to be like, "dad I need to talk to you for a few minutes. I really don't feel comfortable in that other dress, I feel much more confident in the other one and I would much rather get the other one. I'm not trying to be annoying or rude, I just would really like the other one. I don't usually ask for special things but It's my senior prom and if you could let me get that other dress, it would make me very happy."

you could also offer paying for it (if you have the money) because it will show how much you want it and then he might let you get it and he might even offer to pay for half

good luck I hope you get your dress and have a wonderful time at prom! :D
(and hope I like my dress from China heheheh)

I HATE my prom dress.?

Prom is next weekend so I had to do some last minute shopping. It's not my prom it's my boyfriends so i figured there's no need to buy a big fancy dress. Well now I completely regret buying my dress. It's too short and plain... It doesnt even look like a prom dress, more like a homcoming dress or a dinner dance dress. I had another dress I was about to buy but I would of had to get it tailored. Im so upset because I want a different one... but it's kind of cutting it close.

Help?Opinions?

In which kind of dress do Indian girls look nice?

I think!Beauty was never bounded by a piece of cloth, draped in one way or other. Its true that apparels make a person look good, but no particular way of dress-up has put a limit on beauty. Comparing two very different dressing styles and judging which one's better is like comparing apples and oranges. A girl who looks stunning in a south-cotton Saree takes the breath away of the world around her when she wears an evening gown.If the person in general likes western clothes, girls will tend to appear prettier in western clothes. If one is used to seeing girls in Indian clothes, girls will appear cuter in Indian clothes.
