How Can I Make My Time Warner Cable Connection Better

How to Reconnect Time Warner Cable Internet Ouside of the House?

first, if you are not a subscriber, this is called theft of service and TWC will sue.

There is usually an access panel or a pedistal (SIC) every other house. In the AP, there is a distribution amp. You can find the cable that leads to your home and reconnect to the distribution amp.

TWC may have put a tamper proof cap on your connection, if they did, this requires a special tool.

oh yea, if TWC bans you, there is always xDSL and DirecTV. TWC needs customers more than the local telco does.

Why cant my xbox connect to time warner cable wifi?

Word of advice if you are having issues with anything connecting to the internet make sure the information is accurate as well make sure you aren't being leeched on. I have had issues with my Wii U a couple of days ago because someone or something hacked into our internet and changed the password numerous times. Also you might wanna read the manual that came with your console or look up the information on the official people who host the Xbox. I have never touched an Xbox before I'm mostly all Nintendo Sony and Sega boy sorry if this didn't help you.

Time Warner Cable: Modem, Router?

So I was a little headstrong and did practically no research into what it takes to get internet access set up in my house. My mother used to be responsible for all this....stuff. All I know is we had a linksys and a modem given to us directly by Time Warner Cable who gives us our internet, phone, tv, the works.

My drunken father was brilliant enough to rip out everything, and throw it away. So again, thinking I could make an easy fix of things, went out and bought a "Wireless Extreme for Mac and Pc" by Netgear (N600?) and a Broadband ADSL2+Modem also by Netgear (DM111PSP).

Is this in fact what I need? Now that I am sitting here with it, I am quite confused. What do I do?

Please, please help, and in the lamest terms one can use!

Time Warner Cable Wi-Fi problem?

My wireless internet isn't working. Everything else is working, including my cable and wired internet. I went to the router and pressed the reset button in the back and nothing worked, everything turns on and the 'sync' green button just stays lit. I checked all my cables to see if they're loose and still nothing. MY iPhone 5s connects to the Wi-Fi, but nothing loads when I press Safari, so I know its working. What's the problem?

Why does my time warner cable box say noCP?

You need to double-check that you are using the correct form of cable to connect the cable box and the television. No CP means that the cable box thinks that it is connected to the t.v. via a HDMI cable. If it is hooked up via another cable (such as a triple red/green/blue cable, or a coax cable) then you need to obtain a HDMI cable to hook up the units.

On the other hand, if you are using HDMI cable already, then you need to double check that the t.v. and the cable box are set up in the right order. Your cable box should come with insructions on how to "connect" the two units. In my case, I had to plug in the t.v. and the cable box, turn on the t.v. first, then turn on the cable box, and only after they were connected together I could plug the cable into the wall.

Can I make time warner cable wireless?

I'm willing to pay what it costs, it's for a house I purchased so the long term investment is worth it. There's actually an electrical outlet on the wall where I want to put it, so the tv would cover the outlet and the power cords wouldn't be seen. It's a brick wall, however, so creating a box within the wall won't work. The tv can be hung on the brick wall, but cutting into it won't work. There's a mantle/shelf about 4 feet away from where the tv will sit, so the cable box will be close by.

My iPhone keeps connecting to Time Warner wifi installations any time I am close to one; how can I make it stop?

Your iPhone is attempting to connect to any hotspot with the same name as that of your home wifi network, using your password from home, or at least retrieving the hotspot's welcome screen. The name which identifies every wifi "hotspot", whether the one in your home or that of a cafe which you are walking past, is known as its SSID. This name can be up to 32 characters long and is case sensitive. You need to change the SSID for your router and "forget" the Time Warner default name that you currently use.Find your router IP address by typing the command "cmd" in "Run" (for Windows) and then entering "ipconfig" in the resulting DOS screen (don't enter the quotation marks).Type that IP Address into your browser's command bar and from there login to your router using its current SSID and password, and then look for the option to change the SSID name. The next time your phone tries to connect to the old name of your wifi network, find and select the "Forget this Network" button. The "Ask to Join Networks" option, as shown below, allows your iPhone to automatically switch from using a wireless data connection to wifi when any "known" connection - one which you have used before - is detected. But your phone can not differentiate between wifi hotspots which have the same name but which are in fact different hotspots, as the SSID is the identifier used to determine whether to try to connect. Many routers and businesses are either defaulted to, or intentionally set to, having an identical name across all of their routers.

Router and WiFi/Ethernet connection: WiFi booster, extender, or repeater.?

my house hold recently got WiFi via time Warner cable. we have the plan of up to 50 Mbps, a plan that is needed for us with a desktop computer, laptop, xbox one, and tablet on it allot. I personally do allot of online gaming such as destiny and league of legends and require a very strong and high connection. so the issue at hand is that the desktop computer, which belongs to my mother, is older and has WiFi connection issues and requires they Router be in our dining room, which is kinda far from where i am. I am fine using the WiFi but my connection is crap on my xbox one. Destiny gives me so many issues and I am lost on what to do because i can't move the router. I have about 40/50 $ to spend on a booster, reapeter, or extender but don't know what to buy. i would prefer to get something that would allow me to have my xbox one connected via a Ethernet cable but if not i just need my connection to boost. i am getting crap for download and upload speeds and am getting 3 or 4 if i am lucky out of 5 bars on the wireless and whenever the tablet and desktop are used it drops and I get issues. If someone could please point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
