Can someone tell me about windows 8.1?

Hello,

Sometime ago I bought a new laptop but I detested windows 8 and returned it and chose to buy a used one that still had windows 7. With the roll out of windows 8.1 is the system more friendly to those of us who enjoyed the simplicity of all previous windows, and that simplicity which allowed for easy multitasking, and the start button is it still a separate screen or can I delineate and eliminate that and revert to the format of all previous windows. I am asking this question because I sold my old laptop to a friend and am thinking of buying a new one.

How can I transfer files from my Android phone to tablet without a USB cable?

I am going to give you a very easy way. You wont even have to install any apps and would love it if you have a decent net speed. Create a group and add any friend/family member/contact.3. After group is created, remove the person you added so that you are the only member.4. Now send the file you want to share on this group.5. Click on whats app web and open the whats app web page on your browser ( ie, chrome, safari, etc). Scan the code from you phone and get connected.6. Open the group you created and download the file.7. Done. No need to install any other app. No need to make an additional account.8. Why is my iTunes suddenly playing in Mono (muffled, muted sound)?

Not sure how this came about but, the other day I tried to sync up a Bluetooth Speaker to my iMac (OSX 10.6.8) and noticed the sound was muffled and muted (mono sound quality). Not sure what that was all about considering I sync up bluetooth speakers like every day to this thing, I tried the speaker on an iPad, sound was great.

Then I tried to play music just from the built in speakers on the computer (from iTunes), and it sounds awful. Again, very muffled and muted and mono-sounding.

I've tried a few things. I dragged a song to the desktop and played it via QuickTime and it sounded excellent and in stereo again (as it should). I've determined that only in iTunes does it sound crappy now (completely all of a sudden, and I haven't done anything different).

I checked my audio settings in MAC and it's all normal (again, Quicktime plays the music just fine).

I scoured the internet for a forum or some kind of answer but the most recent thing I can find is from 2011 when a known iTunes issue was causing this.

Anybody have any ideas?

I hate connecting devices to play sounds on lousy PC speakers. Instead, I want to do the opposite. How can I transmit sound from a PC (Windows 8) to external Bluetooth speakers?

That's easy. If you have Bluetooth (most modern computers do now) then just pair to the speaker.  If you don't have Bluetooth on your computer buy a Bluetooth adaptor.  I prefer the convo wifi/Bluetooth adapters for desktops as its one board to do both, but a simple use Bluetooth adaptor works too, and you can get them in ultra tiny sizes.

Is this computer good?

With Windows 7, that computer is worth $600. Don't buy it for more than $700.

Crysis 2 is going to be medium-medium quality.

Fallout Vegas and TF2 is going to run max, but a $400 computer can run those games on max.

Ok, no more helping people who waste money. We need to tax them one way or the other.

edit:
his primary and secondary drives are the same. He has a 15 foot monitor cable. 19 INCH monitor. Lovely way to game. 925 CPU on this gaming computer. I think I saw that cpu for $70 on craigslist.

edit2:
990x is a $1000 cpu. Get the Intel i5-2500k. It's $200, beats the 970, and is just the best gaming cpu out there.

If you want to save money, I'd build it myself, but ibuypower.com and cyberpowerinc.com both have decent prices/deals.

Get a i5-2500k + 4GB ram + dual GTX 460 cards and you'll be more than happy. With the discounts and rebates, it should be around $1000. It'll be WAY faster than the computer you listed.

Also, I suggest getting at least a 22-24 inch 1920x1080 5ms (or 2ms or 1ms, but 5ms is fine) LED monitor. It's a waste to get a nice desktop with a crappy monitor. It's like watching a blu-ray movie on a old 480p TV.

Email me again if you need help configuring (motherboard, power supply, etc).
