If you're on an X-Box, then you will need a disc because of the system of how the disc is ran. Any other systems, you wont need it, but it may annoy you how much the screen of it will pop up(Or if that is just for me), because my PS3 was bought for $20 at a yardsale. Good luck.

No, you still need to insert disk 2 in order to play the game. Even if you install that one (which isn't recommended by even the developer unless you do it on a separate memory unit), you wouldn't be able to play without the disk since Microsoft isn't stupid enough to let people rent or borrow games, install them, and then keep playing the game for free without the disk. The only legitmiate way for you to play without the disk would be to buy the digital version of the game from the Xbox Live Marketplace, which isn't possible till they release the game on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Unfortunately no. The first disc is the install disc and the second is the play disc. There is different data on each disc so even if you could copy off the disc you have the game would still be incomplete.Best bet would be to either borrow a copy if you know someone who has it and then make sure you never uninstall it or just get a preowned copy, they are cheap and easy to find.
