No. YouTube hasn’t remove the option to send private messages. I can still send private messages by going to ‘About’ section of a YouTube channel. You can’t send private messages to such channels.

Do you think You Tube is safe for a 5 year old?

Nope definitely not. They do have a “restricted mode” setting which will filter out the worst content but it’s not good enough for a 5 year old. Unless you are willing to supervise every second they are on it, it won’t take long before before they are suddenly learning swears and copying completely inappropriate phrases.Yes I have personal experience with this.It stumped me for a bit because there’s software that will filter out inappropriate websites, but I didn’t want to restrict access to the entire YouTube site. There’s good stuff on there. My older son watches tutorials on how to draw. Both of my kids are in French immersion school and there are so many great French learning videos. Etc, etc… lots of great videos along with lots of completely inappropriate ones. There is a solution.Download the YouTube Kids app. It has a nice kid friendly interface and all the comments are hidden away. Even a video that is appropriate may have inappropriate comments. And if you do come across an inappropriate video you can easily report it. I’ve only done it once and it was only mildly inappropriate.

How do I disable the 'safe mode' option on Tumblr? I cannot find the toggle switch anywhere on my app or browser.

Now you can easily turn off safe mode option in tumblr app or browser. You simply need to follow below step by step process.Step 1: Open this Tumblr Safe Mode Link in Mobile or PC Browser.Step 2: Now login with your username and password. If you want to turn off safe mode Without Tumblr Account then read below article.Must Read: Turn Off Tumblr Safe Mode Without Account or LoginStep 3: Here you can see toggle button for safe mode.Step 4: Simply turn off toggle button and it will be off.Turning Safe Mode on displays a filter on images that are considered “sensitive” by Tumblr, including nudity, even if it’s artistic or educational. This feature is different from the 2012 function of Tumblr’s “Safe Search,” which briefly went by the same name and de-listed adult content from search engines and Tumblr's internal search.Previously, Safe Mode was an opt-in feature that users could turn on in their settings. Within the next few weeks, Tumblr will transition Safe Mode into the default mode for everyone. Some adult content creators are concerned that a full roll-out of default Safe Mode will quietly push them away from view of the platform’s larger audience, and into irrelevance.Sunday, Tumblr sent an email to all users over 18 years of age who hadn't already turned safe mode on, reminding them that the features exists. The message doesn’t explicitly state that the setting is turning on by default; only that Tumblr wants to “make sure everyone has the chance to try it out.”

What is "distributed computing experiment" and why can i not uninstall it?

ive had a few strange things pop up the past few days, one of which saying my 'youtube accelerator" was not functioning properly. i have never installed or used any such program, so i go to the programs section of control panel (windows 7).

here i found a few programs that i certainly did not install. i noticed the other day i had forgotten to re-enable my firewall when i disabled it the other day whilst playing a certain game that would not be remembered as an exception, of course the one time i do this i get invaded by foreign software. i go through the list and find a few unwanted programs. most of them uninstall just fine, all but one.

"Distributed Computing Experiment" is the name of the offending program. no publisher is listed and when i try to uninstall i get a popup stating: You do not have sufficient access to uninstall Distributed Computing Experiment. Please contact your system administrator.

I am the admin and i do not like the presence of this program or that i cannot remove it. It was installed 2 days ago which is when my firewall was disabled. Any suggestions/solutions?
