How Can I Stop My Little Brother From Drinking To Much Sodes

My little sister drinking ?

First get some details about the night she drank vodka.
Second. I know that lots of people are probably gonna think/say, "You need to tell your parents!", but I'm going against that-- FOR NOW. Try to solve it yourself first. If you can, try flying over to New Jersey to help solve the problem. Talk to her. If this doesn't help, you need to tell your parents. The reason I'm telling you to do this AFTER you try to fix it on your own is because she trusted you with a secret, so you've gotta keep it. The only time you can tell your parents is if it gets out of hand, and in that case you've already tried everything you are capable of doing.

Maybe you can give her a lesson on drinking and peer pressure. This should help.

Best of luck

How can I convince my 17 year old brother to stop drinking?

That's a difficult one!A lot depends on how much he's drinking. In many countries and States in America he's breaking the law even purchasing alcohol yet alone consuming it. It's really your parent's responsibility. You could point out the dangers of consuming alcohol but I doubt it would have much of an effect.Maybe go along to AA with him if he will agree to go. Speak to your parents and try to get them on your side. A drastic step would be to report his drinking to the local police. All depends on how much he is drinking. If it is in excess he may be or become as alcoholic. Stopping him in his tracks will be doing him a long term favour but I doubt he'll thank you for it!

My Mother and elder brother keep fighting. What should I do to stop this?

Taking anyone side always would be injustice .You should first consider the reason why they are fighting and who ever is wrong you should sit and explain that person correctly where they are wrong. Also one thing you should explain both of them shouting and fighting does not leads to any conclusion. We can always sit and discuss problems without yelling. The most important thing here that we should keep in mind is “We should just not be a good speaker but also a good listener.”When we are explaining all the problems we have with the other person , we expect them to listen it all. It goes the other way too.May be their is something in us also that needs to be improved along with the other person. When we point one finger at others, three fingers points us. So we should first correct ourselves and then find faults in others. Also remember one thing in life “You want to live happily or you want to win”

Can you die from drinking to much alcohol?

When you hear about someone dying from "alcohol poisoning," it usually means the person died in one of these three ways:

The blood alcohol level was so high that it affected parts of the brain and nervous system that control breathing, heartbeat, and related body functions. The drinker died because he stopped breathing and his heart stopped beating, usually while unconscious.

He vomited while unconscious, inhaled the vomitus, and suffocated. There are also occasional reports of an unconscious drinker choking on his own tongue.

The alcohol reacted in combination with some other drug - over the counter, prescription, or illegal. These deaths can happen at a relatively low blood alcohol level.

Why does my brother shake?

It could be anxiety or nervousness, or it could very well be a "hold over" condition from his history of seizures. In any event, if it is bothersome or becomes worse, it would probably be in his best interest to have it checked out.

Health: My brother drinks a 2 liter of coke everyday is this extremely unhealthy? What could happen?

Of normal coke? Here's the nutritional information on standard coke:Total Carbohydrates 39gThat's bad, right? Hell, yeah, that's a ton of sugar. But wait, it gets worse:Serving Size: 12 fl oz (360 mL)Servings Per Container 6So multiply that by 6 you get 234 g of sugar.  That's really bad.As mentioned, you'll put on weight because that's a ton of empty calories, 840, which is often a full meal's worth. A young kid might be able to bounce back from all that energy, an adult will have trouble.  Additionally, you stand a real good chance of overworking your pancreas and getting Type 2 Diabetes. Finally, all the caffeine will mess up the circadian rhythms, possibly give him heart palpitations. Eventually, he'll develop a tolerance for the caffeine and have to drink more to get an effect. When he stops drinking as much he'll have some terrible withdrawal symptoms for about a week, mostly lethargy and headaches.I should note, also, as the nutritional label will tell you: Not a significant source of calories from fat, saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol, dietary fiber, vitamin A, vitamin C, calcium and iron.Pretty much all it has is sugar, sodium, and caffeineCoca-Cola Ingredients and Nutritional Information

Scared for my brother and his unhealthy lifestyle! Help?

Now, don't get my wrong, I love my brother so much! However, I am very scared for him. He has an extremely unhealthy lifestyle and I am scared it will cause health problems with him later on. Here's some unhealthy habits he has:
1) Drinks diet Pepsi ALL day EVERY day, up to 12 a day. Even during breakfast! He brings it with him everywhere. Taking a drive to the gas station 5 min away to grab some milk? Takes a diet Pepsi with him!
2) Eats constantly! And I mean always. I understand snacking and having 5 small meals a day is better for you but he has 5-10 snacks a day including 3 HUGE meals!
3) EATS UNHEALTHY in addition to always eating. Never eats fruit, no wheat bread, no veggies except corn. He's very picky and doesn't like TONS of things. He loves processed foods, and does not eat ANYTHING healthy!
4) no exercise and I mean none. Sits on the computer all day. (No job, can't drive)
He is 26 and very overweight. Is it wrong of me to be worried?

My brother still wets the bed?

My sister did this until she was 12. She had to wear those UnderJams to bed everynight until she stopped peeing in the bed. Try to help him at night by asking him to not drink anything after 6 pm and they may help the problem. Be understanding that this may also annoy him because he cannot help it. It's not his fault entirely. Try reading this and see if it helps : http://www.goodnites.com/na/Bedwetting/Treatment.aspx
