How Can Solve This Question

How can i solve this question?

You start by using the fact the buoyancy force is caused by the volume of water displaced by the anchor. Since there was a lost of 200 newtons of force, we need to calculate the volume of water which weighs 200 N.
First you need to calculate the mass of this amount of water. Using F= mA you get the relationship:
mass of water = F/A where A is the acceleration due to gravity which we'll take to be 9.8 m/sec^2.
This gives us 200 N/ 9.8 m/sec^2 = mass of water = 20.41 kg

Now since you did not specify I assume you are using fresh water which has a density of 1000 kg/m^3. The equation density= mass/volume gives us the relationship:
v=m/d for the volume of the displaced water...
20.41 kg/ 1000 kg/m^3 = 0.02041 m^3
This has to be equal to the volume of the iron anchor so

a) is 0.02041 cubic meters

Now you go back to the density equation to get the relationship: m=dv to find the mass of the anchor.
which is 7870 kg/m^3 (0.02041 m^3)= 160.63kg
then back to F=mA for the weight of the anchor in air
160.63 kg (9.8 m/sec^2)= 1574.2 N

b)1574 N

use 15 in first boxuse 9 in second boxnow rotate page 180 degreesuse 9 in the third boxnow rotate page back 180 degreesthats 15+9+6 is 30another answer is use 15 in first than 15 in second and than , in third as it is written in question as "fill the boxes using" so generally we think only as numbers to fill but you can use , ( and ) along with numbers to fill

What can i do if I'm not able to solve questions of Mathematics ?

Firstly, learn through solved examples then try to make the same questions through different methods or short tricks (if you get any note it down in a dairy). Its good to give time on new questions (not 4-5 hrs on a question). There are few questions which are only meant for born brilliance so don't think that,  you need to solve every questions.Try to discuss the questions with teachers and friends  instead of seeing the solution in book so that you can learn many new concepts. For improving speed first try out with mains level questions in proper time limit.Try to learn the things like option elimination, value putting e.t.cMake your fundamentals very strong with the help of books like ncrt or rd sharma then go for coaching materials(kota) or books like cengage/Tmh.solve test papers of different institutes for new questions.DON'T WORRY QUESTIONS IN JEE ADVANCE IS MUCH EASIER THAN WHAT WE PREPARE FOR IT.HAVE FAITH IN YOURSELF AND KEEP SMILING

Can we not solve the questions on CodeChef that were earlier in some contest later on for practice?

If you directly go to the question from the Contest Link, you will not be able to submit after the contest has ended. You will find that question in the practice area depending on the question difficulty:PRACTICE | CodeChefIf you don't want to go through the pain of searching the question, here is a little shortcut to go to the question.Note down the problem code (say CODE)and go to the following link."http://www.codechef.com/problems..." .And then you reach the question you desire. How do toppers solve any question quickly and efficiently?

Thanks for A2AWell the ability to solve a question quickly and efficiently does not comes easily . It requires ample amount of practice of question of varying levels , Giving mock tests in stipulated time , Test analysis and most importantly having a strong hold of all the concepts. Problem solving ability is something which you will build over the course of your JEE preparation . So your first priorty should be clearing all the concepts so that you don’t have any doubt left in the theory part of that topic. Then step by step increase the difficulty level of problems that you are solving in your daily practice at home . When you have gained sufficient confidence on every topic and start giving mock tests in stipulated time (I Would suggest you to set your clock for 2 hours and 45 minutes because at home probably you wont be using an OMR filling which consumes a good amount of time). If you have cleared all your concepts and practiced a variety of problems then you won’t face any problem in mock tests related to concepts. the only problem you will face will be of speed and accuracy which will be developed after giving hell lot of mock tests followed by proper test analysis on the same day .All the Best!
