What do Americans think of Islam and Muslims? And why?
I am just curious. I have a friend whose Muslim and she was crying to me about how she's always being discriminated by everyone else because of her religion. She always gets called terrorist and suicide bomber and all that. She said, "I thought America was a place fir freedom of religion,how come people hate Islam, Muslims, .... ME? It's not islam's fault that there are so many crazy lunatics out there. Is lam really is a religion of peace, and I hope people would understand us better" I kinda felt bd after hearing that, I mean A LOT of our negative thoughts on Islam is because of 9/11, and I started thinking and that's kinda not fair, to now know anything about something except what people tell you, and make judgements. So, I was wondering what most Americans think of Muslims? And why do you think that way? Don't say its just because of 9/11 or terrorists, I mean like REALLY think about it?

Noor, My previous question was deleted. Some Muslims are easily offended. As far comparing the God of Abraham wiht the Allah of Islam..It is your Allah that makes the claim he is my God. Fault him for the comparison. You say that it would be the equivalent of telling Jews to believ in Muhammad, No dice., Muhammad is not mentioned in the scriptures.
