How Can You Take Care Of Yourself In A Coma.

What is a good way to put yourself into a coma? AND LIVE.?

Well, it involves drugs that will paralyze you and reduce body function, such that is should only be done under medical care at a hospital. when people become comatose due to trauma or illness it's their bodies desperate attempt to shut down what they don't need, therefore doing any of these could easily kill you.

How do i put myself in a coma?

Having super high glucose levels for an extended period of time will put you in a coma, but it will also break down your organs, so you would either die, or (more probably) have a very painful life after someone took you to the hospital and the ER doctors revived you.

No doctor is going to put you in a medically induced coma; and i doubt it is peaceful, anyway. Probably just a big blank.

Whats an easy way to put yourself in a coma?

Well, just sleep or something. Seriously, I mean you have to hit your head or something to go in a coma. If you want to dissapear for a little, how about going somewhere and stay at a hotel or cabin and just have a little time to yourself.

If you kill yourself, you're in for something a whole lot worse than your life could ever be.

Do your teeth get brushed when you’re in a coma?

Yep! As Cheryl pointed out, it’s not with a toothpaste and a toothbrush, like we do on a regular basis.Performing what we call “oral care” on comatose or sedated patients is very important because the mouth is a very bacteria loving space in our body (hence morning breath when you wake up in the morning). If you don’t perform oral care, you risk the patient getting bacterial overgrowth that could potentially spread to another body part (like the lungs). In a patient that is bedridden and likely doesn’t have the most robust immune system, this could be very dangerous. So, we use special swabs (see picture below from Kimberly Clark company) dipped in antibacterial rinse and swipe it inside the mouth, on the sides and on the teeth every day. This way we prevent bacterial overgrowth and keep our patients safer.

How would I put myself into a diabetic coma?

I understand you don't want people to tell you NOT to do it, but no one "in their right mind" would tell you HOW to do it. That's plain foolish. There obviously has to be another way to deal with your depression with this. I am type 2, insulin dependent myself. Sure, I get sick of having to take the shots 4-5 times a day. Sure, I get sick of having to poke my fingers 6-8 times a day. But I am NOT going to put myself to near death just because I am tired of doing it. You need to value your life more. OH, let's not forget that I am also 22 weeks pregnant (high risk no less) as of tomorrow. Depressed that I have to deal with it?? You darn right I am!! BUT, there is always a way to get through it.

If someone is in a coma for 2 years how long would it feel for them?

I was in a car accident and in a coma for a few weeks. I don’t remember exactly when I woke up for the first time, but I remember when my brain started encoding the memories again. In other words, when I first awoke, I wasn’t remembering anything. I literally had a 1 or 2 minute memory, and all I have from that time are a few flashbacks. That time is like a movie montage; different nurses and family members asking me if I knew where I was, who I was, who different people around me were, etc. Every day, I would get a little more and a little more, until about a week after I had initially come out of it and been extubated, I really ‘woke up’ one morning and started remembering things again. For some reason, that morning I remember being very agitated, but I couldn’t for the life of me tell you why. I just felt like I had been sleeping for a very long time and had missed something. It turned out I had missed the last 3 weeks of my life!As for how it felt, like maybe I had gone to sleep very tired and slept for 15 or 16 hours, but I would never in my life have guessed it was weeks. I have no memories of being out at all. Also, it wasn’t like sleeping where you have dreams, at least none that I remember. It is a unique experience, but not one that I would recommend trying. It was also the beginning of a very difficult stretch of my life. As my brain healed so did the rest of my life, and I eventually got back to my normal day to day life.A fun side note on being out: As time passed and my mind healed, I asked my sister what happened while I was out. Her answer was pretty amusing “On night in college, I drank too much and blacked out. It took me almost a month to figure out what happened that night. You’ll never figure all the stuff that happened while you were gone!”

How can I safely induce a coma upon myself?

You can’t, you’ve read too many science fiction stories, you’d kill yourself if you try.Even if you did succeed, how would you:-feed yourself, somebody needs to put liquid food into your stomach through a nasogastric tube, which needs to be changed - it clogs up over time - every 6 to 8 weeks-prevent bed sores (decubitus) from developing because comatose people can’t move, so will continuously lie on the same spots of their body, pinching off the blood circulation thus causing sores/wounds to develop, the one’s where bony structures are underneath suffering most, these sore get infected, cause serious blood infections (sepsis) which will lead to deathComatose people are turned around in bed at regular intervals by nursing aides taking care of them, so their weight at different times is borne by different parts of their body, we often have to resort to specially designed “anti-decubitus” mattresses having many air pockets that are alternately blown up or emptied by a fully automated electric pump systems, very expensive, less serious cases lie on special foam mattresses that will follow one’s body contour, all to distribute the body weight as if one was floating in a liquid bath and prevent bed sores from developing--prevent joint contractures from developing, comatose people lie with their arms and legs folded, after a short time the tendons will shorten, contract, thus the joint can’t be stretched. Can you imagine trying to walk with your hips and knees bent at 90 degrees?or doing anything with arms/hands this contractedPhysiotherapist passively make the comatose patient’s limbs go through full motions just to prevent contractures from developing.
