Why do I avoid my family at all costs?
For the last year, I have not seen or talked to my family. I love them, don't get me wrong, but I just feel very weird when I am around them. I have always been the "outsider" or the "black sheep". When I am around them, I feel pain, almost like I don't belong and I feel like I have to leave within 20 minutes of my visit. They are 3 sisters, my mother and my grandmother. All girls. I am the only male. My parents divorced when I was young. Over the last year, I have cut them off even via phone. They have come knocking at my door and I act like I am not home. Then feel this deep pain for doing what I did and start to cry. I am in my 30's, btw. Why do I act this way?
Family and friend say avoid American Women at all costs are they right?
My family and friends keep telling me stop wasting my time with trying to pursue an American woman. They tell me that they are are a waste and not worth it. I am Slovanian and I was engaged to american girl and we broke up 3 years ago. I see this more and more now over time with American women. I read on the internet articles with the same stuff "Not ALL american women are what you think of them being bad." I am beginning to think that is TOTAL BS!! and TOTAL GARBAGE. If american women aren't shallow and not worth it why are there divorce courts and divorces going on. I have grandparents who came to this country years ago and didn't have nothing and they loved each other they didn't care if they owned a expensive home or have to live the life of luxury and they had children and had to work hard and everyone in the family grew up fine.When I was engaged to my ex-fiance all her family cared about was what did my father do for a living? My father is disabled and had to stop working because of his disability and it wasn't his fault he had medical problems. And also women want hotties for their husbands. I am 39 years old and the last 3 years american women i met are picky and it seems they want a guy from a rich family, I did well for myself I have a wonderful career and I financed my own school. I have a nice home and car.My family said to go overseas to Slovinia and find a nice woman. Will i ever find someone good am I too old to get married and find a nice woman. Please help!
Do you avoid conflict at all costs?
Not at all. I don't like to be confrontational, but I'm not going to avoid it, especially if it means that is brings a situation out into the open, gets it over with and makes parties involved able to move forward. I think confronting situations makes it easier to put the water under the bridge instead of choosing to move thru the rapids slowly.
Should one avoid assholes at all cost?
No, they can come in handy when you need to look better in front of someone! If they’re family, you’re stuck!When someone says, “I am NOT an a**hole!” Remind them that it is NOT up to them. It is up to those around them! WE all KNOW that person is a**hole and telling them won’t change it much until they want something from you.Good luck,David
If avoiding contact with an abusive family member would cause a family rift, does that make it inappropriate to avoid contact?
Family rift or no family rift, I have learned the hard way, being around an abusive family member is not worth it. Stay away from the abusive person at all costs even if the whole family gets mad. They can get mad and they can get glad. Don’t sacrifice yourself because you’re worried about there being problems in the family. If family members are upset about it, they should talk to the abuser and tell them to back off. They are the one causing the problem. You standing up for yourself by having no contact with the moron is not the problem.
How much does American Family Fitness Cost to join?
I'm not making much money as a recent graduate and want to join a gym. American Family Fitness doesn't give its prices online (they want you to email a local rep), and I'm trying to compare prices to the ymca (although the ymca is looking like its too much for me : (. I just want to avoid sending amfamfit an email so i dont get junkmail and b/c i want a straightforward answer. Thanks!!
