As said, that shouldn't be why you write but, saying that, I know it can be frustrating when you write something you think is pretty good and a lot of people just aren't checking it out. You can call it advertising, and presenting your story in a better way. For advertising, post a lot of nice (& genuine!!) reviews on other people's story. You don't need to blatantly say "Check mine?", but being nice to people generally gets nice things back. You can ask people to critique your work if that's what they do and they'll probably write a few things which people might check out, easy advertising & feedback! Also, make sure the title of your story is engaging, and has a lot of the key words attached (that or the story does), ones that people will search, such as the genre ('romance') and 'mature themes' if applicable (that attracts a lot of people, you might be surprised, haha). Finally, the front cover. Make it look good and professional, and like you've spent a lot of time on it - chances are, if your cover is relevant and fitting and well-made, people will think your story will be too. I would say socialising with your readers and interacting with other writers would be the best. Even if you’re not the type to approach others, you can always include an author’s note in each of your works. That way your readers will be able to know what’s on your mind and keep track on your future/other works.In addition, sharing to other social media websites with suitable tags can also spread readership to readers outside of Wattpad. Do it with moderation and you’ll be good to go.

Wattpad is a website where readers (or writers) can read stories other people wrote, and where you can also write your own stories. People can comment on your stories--such as giving you critique and encouraging you to write on. You can also make friends on wattpad, and kind of 'fan' other people's profiles, which is the same as suscribing. Make sure you give wattpad your real email, so when you fan people and that person uploads a new chapter/story, it will notify you on your email, so you don't have to keep checking for new chapters. Theres a "What's hot" page and "What's New" page where you can find the top most popular stories on wattpad (it changes by how many people reads your story RECENTLY. if you have many views, but it was not recently, you will not get onto that page). For the what's new page you can find new stories written by authors. That's also a good page to go to. You can join clubs where people have discussions on how to write, what to write, and it's kind of like Yahoo Answers. Wattpad also has the "Watty Awards" where people submit their stories and its kind of like a contest. people vote on people's stories and the story with the highest views (including fb likes, and twitter tweets) wins. so basically wattpad is a great place to go to if you like to read and write. who knows, you can write a story, and even get it published! is wattpad.com a good website? i have heard of wattpad, and i wanted to know if it is reliable and good or not. if not, what websites should i use? i want to write freely and let lose. like a diary, except i want to write poems & small short stories.. etc.! :) please don't list any websites that you have to pay for, because i dont think my parents would buy that for me :( ! also, please dont list any sites that only let you hold only like 5 stories than a membership for unlimited (just an example). you can list as many as you want. please tell me which one you like the best out of all and why

Socialise. Update your book on regular basis. Be responsive to the comments. Reply to the messages if you get any. When you read others book be good and appreciate them. Vote for them and comment if you love their work. Motivate them. Let them know you are doing a good work. How do you get noticed on wattpad?
Keep adding chapters, allow Wattpad to promote your story in other sites, talk to authors and be their friend and then casually recommend they read your story. Most people want cliche, romantic crap without any real plot and lots of grammar errors and spelling errors. Most people in Wattpad are teenagers who want to read about drama, and sappy love like Twilight, so if your story is actually good, has deep characters, a plot, and is well structured, then it probably will take a while to get noticed. Don't worry, though- if it really is a good story, people will catch on and spread the word :) For now just follow what I said in the beginning, make trailers for your story on youtube, and such :) There's really not much you can do. Also, in Wattpad, most readers click on a story based on a title and the cover. Some people create crappy covers, some create amazing ones- the ones with amazing, professional, mysterious covers usually have more reads plainly because its a hot cover, and a mediocre story. If you have a great cover and a great story, you'll get more views, once the word about your story is out. :) Hope i help- you'll get there.
