How do you know if you really want to be something (e.g. Artist), or if you just *want* to want to be that thing? Is it even worth trying, otherwise?

Sometimes you do, sometimes you don’t.In my family, a few of us have been clear about what we wanted to do at an early age (early teens or earlier) because this thing, whatever it was, took our priority interest - reading, watching tv or YouTube videos about it, talking about doing, doing work experience in it, etc. And for none of us was our big interest taught at school. So we did these things we wanted to do, and they expanded into other things, or other areas of what we wanted to do.In my family, and many others, people have not been clear in their own minds what they want to do. Nothing in school turned them on, maybe they did a university course in what they briefly thought they wanted to do or didn’t want to do at all so it’d give them (a) a degree and (b) time to look around.Or they did something that vaguely appealed and grew to love it.Sometimes it takes to mid-late 20s or more before the light bulb turns on, maybe even later, but the point is that by that time you’ve got a lot of skills in other areas that you can bring to the thing you now really want to do.Once you do know what you want to do, you won’t be able to leave it alone, you live it, breathe it, talk it.‘Wanting to want it,’ perhaps because all your friends do, or it appeals for some other reason, is a whole other story and not worth wasting your thoughts on. Keep moving ahead and one day you catch up with what you want to do

How do i pray for something i really want?

Pray just like you said,

"Lord, I would really like to have this job. If you think I can make a difference at this school, and if it is YOUR will, please help me.

If not Lord, please give me strength to deal with the disappointment. But then Lord, please lead me to where YOU want me to go. Help me be open to Your will.

Amen."

Something I really really want to know about a rape victim.?

i'm a rape victim and it's a difference from giving and receiving a hug. i'm in the situation where my body tighten up if a man put his hand on me, but if i put my hand on a man it don't bother me. so i know what she's going through. it's totally different from you touching someone and someone touching you.

What is something you just really want to do?

Go to Paris. No, not with a future girlfriend/wife, not for sightseeing, nor for the city’s wonderful taste in food. You see, I am 6′3″. And I am a big(literally) fan of lame jokes, the more elaborately-schemed and the more longwinded, the better. Being routinely called out every tall structure in the world, I plan to finally do something about it.So I just want to go there, stand infront of the Eiffel Tower. With my arms raised in a kind of embrace facing towards this marvellous wrought iron structure of immense height. AND that’s exactly the pose I want to be photographed in, from behind.Kind of like this… (though way more awesome)(Image: Google )Then I plan to post it on Facebook, where all those people who make the same tall jokes again and again and think they are being original are to teach them how to be original. The Caption for the image will read, “So, we finally meet. My brother from another mother.”*Sigh* the lengths I need to go to make fun of my own height (pun intended).Bonus: Here is me practicing that pose at Khunjerab Pass, the border between China and Pakistan situated at a height of about 4700 meters.Nah, still not ready…

What is something that you really want but can never have?

I want two things, but I know I can never achieve them…well, at least one of them is impossible!Air hostess :This was my childhood dream. I wanted to live the life of an air hostess, but it didn't materialise, for the lack of initiation. I still want to do that, but I know I can't, because of the age factor!Settle down in Sydney :I started loving the city of Sydney in Australia, after I visited the place in April 2016. I want to buy a house there and spend my last years peacefully in it. But, I know it's next to impossible, as the cost of living is too high as compared to India. Also selling the properties we own here India and investing in Australia seems quite risky now, considering the financial slowdown prevailing here after demonetization drive!Thank you!Pic : Google

Why does it feel like when i really want something i never get it?

That will change some day, for now it seems to you that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence..

After you date some of the "others" you will find out they arent what the other person said they would be...

The grass might look greener on the other side of the fence...but its just spray painted.
