However, you may get better results by decreasing the draw distance - this also reduces the number of buildings, trees, roads, and other terrain elements that have to be loaded. Reduce the weather effects, and turn particle effects from crashes and explosions down to medium or low. This takes a load off the graphics chip itself (which in addition to being in the middle of the product range, also has heat dissipation limits cos it’s in a laptop.)The other, unstated but assumed problem - since you’re on a laptop, you may be running your network connection over wi-fi. This makes gaming VERY laggy, as overlap of radio signals push up the number of packet retransmits due to competing noise. As more and more homes and businesses deploy wi-fi on a limited number of channels, this will get worse. (If you’re old enough to remember the CB craze in the 70’s and early 80’s, you’ll see why - even with encryption, you still get static when everyone keys up at once). The fix is simple - run an ethernet cable between your laptop and your router, if it is accessible.

I just buy GTA 5 on Xbox 360 marketplace and I downloaded it. as I was downloading it I accidentally canceled the add on packs. I tried to play the game but it said that they were corrupt files and they would start downloading. I check my active downloads but nothing was downloading.I deleted the game and redownloaded it. only two of the add on packs were downloaded out of four. I tried to play the game after redownloading it but the same error message came up.what can I do to get these corrupted files working again or just to play the game in general ?
