How can I get my parents let me go to a concert?
I've been to once concert before- Lady Gaga with my parents when I was about 11. My parents have become pretty strict Muslim, and I've been going along with it pretty well. I've been a directioner for years and 5SOS are my angels. I can confidently confirm that they've saved me, without a doubt. I love them more than I can put in to words. Now, the last tour One Direction did was with 5SOS opening for them and I was pretty upset I couldn't go, although I said nothing to my parents. This year, on their next tour, I've found out that 5SOS are opening again! I was absolutely speechless, it's like a second chance. Anyway, it's my 9 favorite people on the planet (and no, I'm not some blinded tween girl with no taste in real music. I love Panic! and FOB and the 1975, who I also have the chance of seeing...) and I want SO BADLY to go to this concert. A good friend of mine has an extra ticket, and I want it. A lot. Any ideas as to how I could get my parents to allow me to go? (In Islam, music is a no-no, as are boys. But 1D and 5SOS don't swear or anything and obviously I'm not wanting to throw myself at these boys or anything) I really want to go to this, it may be the last chance I get to see either. It's insane that they're doing this again. P.S. I'd also love love love to go see Panic!, FOB, and the 1975 (tickets for 1975 are $20 and my friend got me one already, though I didn't ask, she's just a really good friend(: ) Any help would be VERY appreciated!!

My favorite band is coming to Boston in June, but my mom won't let me go. The concert is on a Friday, and I'd go with my best friend and her cousin, who've been going to concerts since they were in their early teens. I've never been to a concert before. We are responsible (honors students, student athletes, etc.) and know to be careful. My mom doesn't want me to go, and said that the only way she'd even consider letting me go is if an adult came to the concert with me. But the only adult who could go is my friend's cousin's uncle, who I've never even met. Both my friend's and her cousin's parents expected just the three of us to go to the concert, but now because of my mother's rules, one of the adults have to go, even though they don't want to. The parents thought that I would drive (I've had my license for 1.5 years and am the oldest of the group), but my mom won't allow that either. So I then figured that perhaps my sister could bring us (she's 20), but my mom doesn't like that idea (she still makes my sister, "call when she gets there."). My sister started going to concerts when she was 16. I don't understand why my mom won't let me go at 17 (I'm almost 18). I feel bad that a random adult I've never met is being forced into something he really had no desire to attend, and I don't understand why I can't go without even my sister. I'm not trying to undermine my parents on this. I'm just looking for opinions from parents concerning the situation. If other parents don't think my mother is being unreasonable, that's just fine. I just want perspectives.
