What are some smart ways to answer unwanted sales calls?
It depends on the ethics of the caller. Do they want to sell me life insurance by getting my address and sending me a bill? If so I will simply hang up, they are likely an average Joe/Jane doing their job.Now once I got a call offering me a $4000 trip for only $1000. The catch? I had to give them my credit card info NOW and refused to give me a call back number. So what did I do? I informed them that I was driving, so couldn't get to my card, they asked me if I could stay on the line until I could pull over. I told them how excited I was about this trip and just talked about their experience in Florida and what I could do. Then after 10 minutes, I simply hung up.Why did I take that approach? Well I knew it was a scam and wanted to waste as much of there time as I could so they had less time to scam others.
How do I stop unwanted "trading" calls?
Call 1909 and register your number in - Do Not Disturb list . It takes one week after registration to active your number in 1909 . Trading calls will generally come from Indore companies , so just ask for the name of the company and person and note it .Than inform the Indore company that they have no right to call you as your number is registered in do not disturb list .Dont argue with the Indore people just take their company name and their mobile number will be in your caller list. After the call is over , call 1909 and put a complain that you are getting calls even after your number is registered in do not disturb list specifically from Indore. The person from 1909 will ask for Phone number of trader company, at what time they called you and company name . Also remember that you Call 1909 immediately after you are disturbed because you can call only within 24 hours of the promotional call.If the 1909 ask you why the Indore company called you than just inform that they are advertising their stock market services and I don't want such advertisers making me a promotional call. Also download govt. app DND 2 ( DND , do not disturb ) from Google play store to immediately registered complaint etcNote - Telemarketer get 731 series from Trai ( thus difficult to block ) , so don't reply to any call if the number starts from 731.

Do these annoying Macy's one day ONLY ad's irritate you too?
Don't get me started ! I'll tell you what irritates me about Macy's. There has been a department store here in Portland Oregon - Meier & Frank - since I was a little girl. I remember my mother taking me there when I was just a girl, taking me to lunch, to the Georgian Tea Room, to see the window dressings at Christmas, every window a magical land, to see The Cinnamon Bear, and going to see the giant victory parade on VJ Day right outside Meier & Frank's. That was in the 40's. And there was Meier & Frank. Fourteen stories and no 13th floor. In the heart of downtown Portland. At the turn of the century it was still there. Right across from what we now call "Portland's Living Room", our Pioneer Courthouse Square. Still there. Being a landmark for all true Portlanders. Until ---- along came Macy's. Now it's all changing, and the signs are coming down, and the Georgian Tea Room served its last patron, and there is no more Meier & Frank. Just Macy's One Day Only ads! And, they have the audacity to use a heart in their logo. Fageddaboudid!!!!!
What is the best way to block phishing calls in India?
Old school stuff worked for me. Even if you have true caller, it doesn't matter much. Some background to what I'm going to outline: My telco back in india is Vodafone and me and my family have been with them pretty much from back in the day of BPL, so we sort of get preferential treatment given the long customer relationship.My mother and father started getting similar calls back in 2012–2013, and every time we ended up blocking one number, they used to get a call from a new unknown number. Callers used to say there from CBI (Investigation agency, not the bank, what a joke), LIC, EPF Board (lolwut?) New India Assurance, etc and used to give similar pitches for account number details and all. The Vodafone guys helping us traced the calls and figured out that these are usually illegal call centers with terrestrial links outside india, that bounce calls off India located switching circuits, hence the mobile telco is at a loss since they don't control the said circuits.This went into situations where I either used to try to bore the callers, or they used to start abusing to no end when they realized that they aren't getting anywhere.Long story short, this is what we did: got a letter from the telco stating the issue and their inability to help. Went to the cops and booked a case against unknown people for violating provisions of the Telegraph Act (illegal and national security issue to bounce calls, guaranteed action), and sent an email to the TRAI greivance cell. Given the fact that this was under the telegraph act, it got some serious level attention and from what I learned 3 weeks later, some Givt agencies tracked these people and raided two places from where these calls were originating. They arrested and booked the call center owners, operators and shut down 7 or 8 illegal routing circuits. AFAIK, the calls have stopped and no recurrence yet :-) and the call center owners are contemplating a long hard look at reality from behind bars.Not saying a similar approach may work for you, but this is like a silver bullet solution

It is illegal to attach them to government signs, and it is illegal to attach them to utility poles. Those nails people hammer into the wood pole are not only dangerous to the utility workers, but they weaken the wood. In many cities (everywhere, not just TN), it is also illegal to put them on public right of way (between the sidewalk and street). And in some cities, it is illegal to put up a yard sale sign anywhere except your own property. Call your city hall to get the rules for your city.

You can buy an Aloe Vera plant. I've noticed that in the plant section of CVS Pharmacy they have them for sale or call around at Home Depot or Orchard Supply in their garden section. All of these stores carry this plant. The American Indians used/use the jelly inside this cactus leaf to heal cuts, burns, wounds, and scars. Be careful with the jelly as it will stain your clothing until it is completely dry.
