How Do I Get This Hair Look

How do I make my hair look good?

If your hair is pretty long, it's best to leave it a few days in between washes as it will dry out quicker. As long as you condition really well, and only use a tiny amount of shampoo at the roots, you should be able to wash your hair every other day, or every 3 days.As long as you are letting your hair dry naturally, and not heat styling every time you wash, you could get away with every day.If you do want to leave it a few days to let the natural oils build up, you could spritz it with water on the days in between, so that it becomes wet again, and you can reapply products to it.I can only agree with the other answer that says applying conditioner to the length, before you shampoo the roots is a good idea, as it will protect the ends from dryness, and damage.Shampoos and conditioners, containing Argan oil, like those made by Moroccanoil are good. You can comb Argan oil preparations through the hair, while it is wet to lock in moisture. You can do the same with hair serums. You don't need an awful lot though. For styling, if you don't want anything too weighty on your hair, products like Vo5 smoothing balms, and mousses are good.If you ever want to try a detergent free cleansing regime, which is said to be excellent for colored, long, or dry hair, try out Wen hair cleansing products by Hairdresser Chaz Dean. They are not the cheapest hair cleansers, but you can buy a few at a time, and if you are happy to invest in your hair, they are pretty good. His cleansers don't strip the hair of natural oils, so it retains its health longer. If you want to use a regular type of shampoo, or conditioner, the best ones are those that are designed for longer, or dry hair, if it happens to be dry.I think Loreal Elvive do some pretty good shampoos, and conditioners for a very reasonable price. To economize slightly, I often use an average shampoo, and more expensive, high, quality conditioner. Many shampoos contains similar ingredients, even if they are more expensive.Kerastase makes some excellent conditioners, and treatment masks.Letting your hair dry naturally is very good for its health, if you have long hair. Regular trimming of the tips is good too. Using an intensive hair mask, once a week, is also very good. Steer away from alcohol based products if you can, as they tend to dry the hair.

How to make my hair look shorter?

This is a no brainer and you should have already done it. You get the most complementary haircut possible that is well within your school's rules. This will make your hair look shorter because it is shorter. Hair grows back, no big deal. What is the alternative: appearing as one who does not want to live with the school's rules and does not respect authority. This teacher can cause damage to your reputation in the school if you do not respect his authority and judgment and get a haircut. He can say things that can affect how other teachers feel about you and this will be detrimental if you need recommendations for the University or for a job. Anyway, almost all guys look better in shorter styles. I'm sure you are no different. And there are a lot of adults who feel the same as this teacher about long hair not being suitable for young men. So it is not like you are really harming yourself by getting a haircut that then causes many of the adults you encounter to have a more positive first impression of you. A proper haircut is just part of the costume for your present role as a student. Learn to manipulate your outward costume or appearance to your best advantage. That isn't usually what is most popular among your peers. They can do little for your future. It is the adults in your life who are making decisions that will affect your future.

How do I make my hair look electrocuted????

I assume you're on stage with normal hair before this happens? So presumably, you can't take a long time, wetting your curly hair and drying it wild.

Therefore, I'd suggest selectively teasing it with a comb and hair spray. This can be done fairly quickly to get the look.

After the show, have a bottle of leave-in spray conditioner on hand. This will help you comb the teasing back out of your hair without damaging it too much. Since teasing is essentially deliberating tangling your hair, you'll also have to be patient while you comb it out. Yanking at the tangles *will* damage your hair - breaking it and possibly tearing at the roots.

How do I make my hair look like I have frost or ice chunks in it?

I am going to a zombie party soon, and instead of blood and guts I am doing a drowned zombie. Specifically Titanic zombie. Any suggestions on what I can do to my hair to make it look like I have ice or frost in it. Also, any suggestions for things to do to my costume to make it look like I rose from the Atlantic.

How do i gel my hair, without a greasy look?

There are many products available today that will make your hair stiff and hold its shape. Some of them dry with a shine, and look wet. Some of them stay wet a very long time.

I know what you are wanting -- the hold without it looking wet. So you will want a good coating product, that dries hard, and that doesn't have the shine and look wet even if it isn't. Some of them can be brushed when dry and that will take away that shiny look to it. I find mousse or a good gel will work (when dried), and they each have different holding properties.

You can use sugar and water (yes, it's an old-fashioned remedy) which will dry hard, and will give you good hold. Salt and water will work too... but is more drying on the hair if used too often. You can mix these to the strengths you need. They can dry without looking wet and shiny. And with short hair, it will give you the hold you want.

For the look in the pic you sent us, you really don't need much product of any kind. With the right kind of hair, it should be able to go that way on its own. If your hair is not like that, you should find a style that works with your hair, rather than force your hair into a style it does not like. It's much easier that way.
