How Do I Get To Talk To A Comcast Person

What is the best way to get a good deal from Comcast? How can I get cheaper internet access from Comcast?

I’d suggest just having leverage. If there are multiple ISP and cable providers in your local area shop their prices. Use that as leverage against Comcast. You can call them up and tell them you’re thinking about switching to “Competitor ABC” and they’re offering x and y for z. Can you beat that? Ask if there’s a better package you can be moved to? If they explicitly screw up an order, ask for a bill credit for your inconvenience. If you can’t get it from the first rep, ask to speak with a supervisor (this works almost all the time). One general cost saving tip is to buy your own cable modem. You rent the one they give you for ~$10/mo. You can buy one for less than $100, so you’ll be saving after a year for sure.

PHONE NUMBER TO AN ACTUAL PERSON AT THE COMCAST CENTER?

I was at the Tom Petty concert last night at the Comcast Center and I lost a set of keys, my glasses & my digital camera. I've tried to contact the lost and found center at the Comcast Center, but the only phone number I could find directs me to a recorded message offering only one option, which is to visit the corporate dial directory. I can't get anyone on the phone, but really need to get in touch with lost & found ASAP - can anyone help me out here?

Are supposed to tip the Comcast installation man?

I don't know about comcast, but the install people who work for the Satellite company I use make around $20/hour. So I would not tip them.

AT&T won't stop calling for U-verse. What can I do?

I'd say answer the phone, listen to the person talk about the service and say no thank you. I worked for AT&T and that's all you have to do. If you keep hanging up, the system will keep your name and number. Which will make it try again the next available time it can.

You need to physically speak with the person on the phone so they can mark you as a do not call back. I know it's annoying but please be nice to the person from AT&T. It's an auto system that just hands them the call and your information. You know people don't want to bother you at home, but someone has to work this job.

When I "live chat" with someone at Comcast or other big company, is the person only chatting with me?

Yes, most probably they have several chats at the same time. It is one of the biggest advantages of live chat over phone and is common practice in companies with good support too.How exactly this affects support quality, largely depends on how many chats agents are allowed to have at the same time. If it is no more than 2–3 chats at a time, than it is actually better than having only one chat or one phone conversation. Not only for the company, but for the customers too. As a customer, in most cases you would prefer your support agent to serve 3 people at once (including yourself) than to be put on hold and wait for ages while the agent serves 2 other people before you, one by one. Wouldn’t you?

Does Comcast have 24/7 customer service?

They may answer the phone 24/7, but don't count on 24/7 problem resolution. My service went totally out and the soonest appointment I coukd get was 4 days out.II doesn't seem like they have severity prioritization queuing built into their dispatch system.A total outage should get immediate, first available dispatch, behing less severe issues.I helped write the specifications for a dispatch system, and was involved in monthly reviews of performance with the goal being always reducing down time. (MTTR, Mean Time To Resolution). If we had produced results to our management with even 24 hour outages, we’d all have been looking for new jobs.

How can I get a hold of a local Comcast Dispatch Office?

Comcast called me to tell me my appointment today was canceled, but "please call back if I'd like to keep my appointment anyway".
They didn't call the number I provided, so I didn't get the message in time. I'd like to call back and discuss this and find out why it was canceled, but can't get a hold of the local dispatch office directly. Any ideas how to get a number?

How can I tell if I'm chatting with a real person when I start an online chat with customer support?

Hi, I know what you mean. It's hard to tell these days. At HelpCrunch we have in-chat and email auto messaging tool that we use for customer onboarding. Our automated emails looks 100% manually typed so our customers assume that it's a real person sending message to them and respond really well to that. So yes, for customers it's hard to tell, but for businesses it's a big plus that they can automate marketing activities and still stay personal and relevant.
