How can I stop Chrome from asking me if I am not a robot?

How can I get my Gateway laptop to stop redirecting my browser to where THEY want me to go?
I am starting to hate Gateway almost as much as I do Vista. If my browser tries to go to a link that Gateway doesn't recognize, Gateway takes over (without asking) and sends me to a Gateway/Google search page where, they hope, I will be dumb enough to encourage them by clicking on links for which they get paid commissions. Now I can't even go to My Yahoo page (my. yahoo. com). My browser goes there, but almost immediately gets redirected to Gateway's search page. Apparently My Yahoo is trying to load an ad, or something, that Gateway doesn't like. So it takes me away from My Yahoo page to this ^(&% Gateway search page. Is there something in the registry, or in IE7 setup that I can change to make it stop doing this, and let me go where I want to go on the web, not where Gateway wants to take me? Thanks!
