How Do I Go About Reporting My Mother To Cps

Should i call cps on my brother?

my brother and his girlfriend live in a trailor with their son, my nephew. My brother works and is a good guy but never takes control of a situation or does anything when something should be done. His girlfriend stays home with my nephew all day. she does meth. they get money from welfare and food stamps as well. but they havnt had hot water in their house for over a year and now it is getting cold and they have no heat only a space heater. i know they can get the heat turned on and that legally the company has to do it but they dont call or even try because they say they already owe enough money. so they cant afford to have heat or hot water but his gf can afford to be high on meth all the time. the kid is not abused physically or anything. but im afraid if i call cps they will take the kid away rather than just take the mom away because my brother has epilepsy and also he smokes marijuana, but he DOES NOT do meth. she does both and is crazy enough without either. i know cps wont let me take my nephew since my fiance who lives with me is a felon (crap from many years ago) i dont know what to do. i dont want my brother to lose his son, but this situation is no good for the kid, he is 2 1/2

Should i report my mom to CPS?

My brother and I got into a fight at McDonald's—we threw ketchup on each other and some other people (customers, cashiers, etc.).

My mom freaked out on me, she told me I was an immature baby and my brother too—in front of people in McDonald's. Leaving McDonald's, she told us that she should get us some pacifiers and some pampers and a playpen. People were looking at me, as if she were right.

She took away my PS4. I can't go out on weekends now. On the car ride home she was yelling at us, telling us when she goes to Walmart, she should buy us a crib and stuff. I'm 14 and a Freshman in high school, and my brother is 13 and in Eighth Grade, we're not babies.

Can I turn her into CPS for abuse saying those things to me? Isn't it slander or something saying lies about someone? Saying I need those things and making me look bad in public? For the record, my brother started it. It's not fair she took away my games and I can't go out now.

Can people make up a lie and report you to CPS?

Your Open QuestionShow me another »
Can people report you to CPS for something thats not even true?
I want to know if you have enemies or if someone has something against you and is trying to start drama, can they make something up and call CPS on you to get your kids taken away even if you have done nothing wrong? Like can they call CPS and tell them a complete lie to try to get your kids taken away? I hope my question makes sense...I need answers.

Should I call CPS on a mother constantly screaming, possibly hitting her two small children?

Yes, you need to call your state CPS office. Please note you can call and not give your name or number but if you do not give enough information for the investigator to find the family the children will remain at risk. They DON'T have to have BRUISES to be INVESTIGATED. If you see the children are afraid of the parent then there could be emotional abuse along with physical abuse. It is better to REPORT and it be NOTHING then NOT TO REPORT and it BE SOMETHING.It is BEST YOU PROVIDE ALL DETAILS ABOUT THE FAMILY AS MUCH AS YOU AS FOLLOWS:Names of parents, address of home, names of children ages, schools they attend, or daycares, where parents work, and if you know any extend family their names. Then explain what you have SEEN happen in front if you. And what you have heard make sure to are clear about the difference in the report. Also make sure you tell them you want the investigator to contact you. That way to can give anymore INFORMATION.Do not confront the family unless you are seeing physical abuse. Then call 911 and report it. If this is someone you know, you might offer to babysit and talk to the children and let them tell you what is going on.Sounds like mom is stressed out and overwhelmed and is taking it out on the kids. But that is no excuse she still needs to be reported and get some assistance and be sent to parenting classes at the very least.Hope this helps in your DECISION... Think about like THIS IF IT WAS YOUR CHILD OR GRANDCHILD would you want a STRANGER TO CALL AND HELP THEM? If you answer yes then CALL.In Texas it's illegal to not CALL EVERYONE is responsible to report.

Should I report a parent to CPS for threatening to commit suicide?

Been thinking about this for a while. Im seriously thinking of getting contact with CPS because someone I know wanted to commit suicide.
Long story short she sends out a mass text message saying goodbye and she was about to slit her wrist (dec 25 2011). I’m thinking there is a 5 month old baby with you and your going to leave her alone? A few weeks later she calls me, I missed her call and when I call back she yells at me “I could have killed my baby and myself because you didn't pick up!” needless to say I hung up and never answered her calls again.
Normally I would just leave this alone and see it as a cry for attention, but she said she would kill her baby and herself. That scares me! She already has two kids in cps custody under two different cases and she may "loose it" if CPS takes number 3 away.
should I report her or should I just leave it alone?

Reporting secondhand smoke to Child Protective Services?

I have a student who comes to school reeking of cigarette smoke. Is it worthwhile to report this to Child Protective Services? I believe he is being subjected to secondhand smoke. He has told me his mother smokes in the house (single parent home). I am concerned for his well-being.

Can a brother obtain a baby if the mother (might be) on drugs or does CPS take the newborn away?

My fiancée sister is pregnant. His sister apparently did heroin and other drugs, sh was in jail for prostitution for 7 months and a couple of months later went back to prostitution. She faces anorexia and depression problems alone with drug use she claims she is 2 years clean. We are not sure she says she just smokes cigarettes and starves herself. She just got admitted to a hospital for pains and is under observation. When the child is born does anyone know if we can get custody?
