I don't think there could possibly be a perfect answer for it because you don't need a reason to love someone but let me try..I love my grandparents because they love me unconditionally. Because they care for me so much.Because they have life experiences from which I can learn a lot.Because my grandpa plays chess with me.Because when I am hungry at midnight my grandma wakes up and make food for me. Mine slept in the same bed until my grandfather became very ill and they had a hospital bed at home for him...he was over 80 at that time though. My parents had twin beds for about 3 yrs and I later learned they were having relationship issues at the time...that was later resolved and they went back to sharing a bed though, until they divorced years later.

Grandparents have wisdom, time and experience more than the child's parents. They have been through each and every phase of life which the parents have yet to experience. Their wisdom helps child develop good values and ethics.Generally, parents are busy with their work to establish a financial foundation for the child but they don't have enough time to spend with their child, this is where grandparents come to the rescue. They develop very good story telling ability, children love stories and grandparents share their life experiences in the form of stories.
