How Do I Help A Belemic Girl

Can you help me find this movie? It's about an anorexic/bulimic girl.?

I saw this movie possibly on lifetime, and it's about a girl suffering from bulimia and anorexia [[when she eats, she throws it up, but she doesn't usually eat]]. The distinct details I remember is that she has a little brother, there's a lot of conflict with her mother, and at one point, she purges in front of her mother when her mother's trying to stop her from doing it. It was a really good movie, please help me!

Would you date a bulimic girl?

Yes. Of course if I had a girl I'd have to hold onto her for dear life cause God knows I couldn't get another.

Bulimic girl who's stomach ruptured?

I need to find this article please if anyone can help me find it. I have seen it before and it shows a girl that has died of a ruptured stomach over a toilet. (I know it's very sad.) However, it has been so long since I have seen it. I am taking nursing and I have a teacher that does not believe me when I have told her this. (This is rare, obviously.) She says it's impossible for that to happen, and she probably died from bleeding in the brain. I want to print the article to see if it's bogus or not, and give her a copy as well. Thank you for your help.

How can I comfort a bulimic girl?

Be there for her. Eating disorders (and other mental illnesses) can make you feel utterly alone. Body image issues are especially hard, because they make that person feel absolutely unworthy of love or caring. Let her know that you're there for her, and then follow through. Try to remind her that you care every so often: ask her about her day, text her, do your best to make sure that she's doing alright. It's the little things that can make a big difference to a struggling person. Treat her normally, though; she's not her eating disorder, she's a friend. At the same time, however, keep in mind that bulimia is a disease. Just like cancer or a broken bone, it's serious and has long-term health consequences. You aren't going to be able to cure her by caring; only a medical professional/counselor can address the problem. Saying things like "If you cared about me, you'd stop _______ " is never helpful, and often hurts. In addition, bringing up ANYTHING to do with body image is usually a big no-no. Even if it's just to say "You don't need to lose weight! You're beautiful!", she's not going to feel that's true and it will likely just make her more insecure. It's a vicious cycle. In short, be consistently kind/supportive/caring, but respect some boundaries and please, if she's not already, urge her to see a professional.

I need help. I think my daughter is bulimic!!!?

My 13 year old daughter has just confided in me that you has been making her self throw up. She does not live with me, and I haven't witnessed this. 2-3 years ago she was put on Concerta for ADD, and since then she hasn't had much of an appetite. She rarely eats, and then it is not much. She says she is fat constantly (although she only weighs 89 pds. but I am extremely thin too) and she idolizes skeleton thin people. She also has a depession problem (she's on Zoloft for that plus I am bi-polar which I know can be inherited) and worries without cause alot! I need someone to provide me with information about anorexia and bulimia. Should I be getting her help or could this be for attention because she wants to live with me Please someone help!! I am scared and don't want to lose her again by her slowly killing herself with this type of illness

Eating Disorders: How can you tell if a (possibly) bulimic girl is vomiting in the shower?

As an experienced bulimic, there are a few more things I am always careful to hide or think of excuses.- Red eyes right after vomitting - "I was just taking my make-up off"- Full nose right after vomitting- Bruises on (right) hand from the teeth - "I don't know what's going on with me, I'm so clumsy lately"- "Getting shower" right after a meal - "Why is that weird, what's wrong with you, people?!"- Awful smell in the toilet - "I don't know what I ate so bad today"- Often complaining about acid in stomack- Lot of high-caloric food missing after being left alone at home - "Why would I eat that, I don't even like that particular food" or "I'm about to get period so I'm hungry all the time"- Loud and often burping- Usually feeling depressed after going out of the toilet- Eating very little when people are looking - "I'm just not that hungry today" or "I feel sick today, I must have eaten something bad last night"- Being addicted to chewing gums (to take mind off of food)- Being addicted to sugar-free candies (to take mind off of food)- Playing loud music in the shower (to hide the sounds)- Traces of vomitt on the toilet role- Traces of vomitt on the floor or carpet- Pain in the neck (from holing your head often in an uncomfortable position)- Drinking water right after shower- Often drinking milk (to neutralize acid in stomack)- Very often drinking water or other low-caloric drinks (to take mind off of food and make her feel full)Other indicators:- Very fast weight loss- Low self-esteem- Obsessed with weight- People (celebrities) that she finds beautiful are mostly underwaight- She feels uncomfortable talking about food or weight or she talks about it all the timeHope this helps a bit. Good luck.
