Why can't Yahoo improve their spam filter? it sucks?
You can not completely stop all spam, but you can help to put a big dent in it. First, try not to open any of them, that only makes them send more and more to you. Check mark them and click on 'Spam,' this should stop those addresses from being delivered to your inbox. Use your spam filter and block address. Look for the 'Options' link at upper right corner of mail screen and click on it Options/ mail options / spam preferences make sure spam guard is on, click on save changes Options /mail options / blocked addresses Enter the E-mail address you wish blocked and click on 'add block' you will never get mail from that address again. This should help you to control your spam. Other tips: Never open E-mail unless you are absolutely sure who it is from. Never give out your personal information to anyone. If at a website and you must sign up for something, check the entire page to make sure you uncheck any lines wanting to send you notices, info, or ads. Hope this helps.
How do I improve my typing?
Practice practice practice. Practice at the fastest speed you can go that you don't make a lot of mistakes. Don't try to go faster, but you will go faster automatically as you get better. Do you use the home row asdf jkl; and the touch system? If not, you should learn that. (Though I know people who type very fast and accurately with just their index fingers!) I'm sure there are tutorials on line. You start with just the home row and learn the rest of the keys one or two at a time.

Yahoo! Mail Spam Protection? Any way to enhance spam protection for free - right now it sucks!?
I have two accounts - 1 gmail, 1 yahoo! As of now gmail has dominated in spam protection. My yahoo mail gets forwarded to cell, is there anyway to enhance yahoo mail's spam protection for FREE? I don't have any other filters left - all them are used towards better spam protection and it still sucks! I really need an answer and what better place to ask this then on Yahoo! Answers? where everyone knows what I am talking about - the terrible spam protection...?

Should Microsoft have acquired Yahoo to improve its search and mail services?
It depends on the money. But Yahoo had no technologies that are of any interest for Microsoft. It had just user base (and also ownership in some fast growing Chinese companies that are more worth than Yahoo itself). Eventually larger user base does help to improve the service, especially in the search. However it is a question of the price again. At the price negotiated 10 years ago, it wasn’t a good move.
