How Do I Know If My Phone Number Is Being Transferred

How can we know that my SBI account has been transferred from one branch to another?

If you had requested the transfer you will get SMS in your phone. You may also be advised by post at your new address. If you know the phone number of the branch from where the account is being transferred you can remind them to act fast. You may have to make a visit to the transferee branch to collect the passbook after establishing your identity.

How do I know if my phone has been diverted?

In the US if you are the victim of call forwarding your phone rings once when a call comes in to remind you. You can’t answer the call, but it rings anyway.Evidently people in other places believe there is some ability to forward calls (and maybe text messages) without using call forwarding. This might be possible on some Android phones with the installation of an app, but it specifically prevented on iPhones. You cannot interact or intercept voice phone calls in any manner - at least without jailbreaking.I would imagine you could ask your carrier if they have changed how calls are being routed. They should be able to tell if call forwarding has been established either by your phone or by some sort of Remote Call Forwarding feature. In the US Remote Call Forwarding must be specifically activated - it cannot be used unless the account holder turns it on.For the most part, the idea of call diverting without using call forwarding sounds like utter nonsense to me. For the most part, cell phones protect the voice calling capability heavily so that rouge applications cannot interfere with calls. And while it is possible to do Remote Call Forwarding, it is unlikely any carrier has this feature enabled by default.

How would I know if my phone has been hacked and transferred to a mother device?

Most hacks aren’t that sophisticated and will show a decent amount of signs that your phone is maliciously affected.Firstly, your phone’s core temperature. If on idle or doing simple tasks your phone is much warmer than usual, it could be a potential sign of infected phone. As malicious applications use quite a bit of resource which causes a phone to be warmer.Secondly, random pop-ups or another form of unwanted/intrusive ads. Most malware alongside their functions tries to generate revenue in the form of malicious ads. So if you see an unusual amount of advertisements in random locations or even pop-ups that usually don’t appear, it is a sign of concern.Thirdly, random installed applications on your phone. If you notice that apps start to appear, even if you haven’t downloaded anything, it is a strong candidate for malware. Moreover, apps and services on your device. You can check them and see if any suspicious or unrecognized applications/services are running on your phone. If there are, you can proceed to kill them and see if any potential issues that you had still appear.Furthermore, application crashes and malfunctions. If the applications that worked perfectly fine before, started to crash constantly or malfunction in very awkward/random ways, it can be a sign of a hacked device. Also, in-browser redirects. If you get consistently redirected to random sites, or the content that you are viewing isn’t consistent, shows that something is affecting your browser.Lastly, a bit of an advanced approach, if your phone is rooted and you have access to your system files, you can check if there are no randomly installed system files that shouldn’t be there.Hopefully, the explanation is what you were looking for. And thanks for the A2A.

Text showing up from a landline number?

The landline phone number could have been transferred to a cell phone. When my brother canceled his landline for a cell phone, his home number was transferred to his cell phone. It just might be that the reverse number sites aren't that up to date.

As an experiment, I Googled my brother's phone number, which has been his cell phone number for over a year. It still indicates it as a landline and the old phone company he was with before importing his number to a cell phone service.

Yes it would say that he lives somewhere else if he imported the number from his home phone. Those reverse look ups takes the record from his old phone carrier. If he moved, his former landline carrier would not know that, and since those searches pull off info from public records, and it still shows the number being a landline, it would still list his former town as his address. His old carrier would not be informed of any address changes.

What does *70 do if i dial it before dialing a phone number I am trying to call?

It temporarily cancels your Call Waiting
Cancel Call Waiting allows you to disable Call Waiting for the duration of one call. Dial *70, wait for a beep, then dial the desired telephone number. A caller will get a busy signal or be transferred to your voice mail.

+44 702 408 7584 a scam number from london yes or no?

Any number starting with +4470 is an international redirect (call forwarding) number. You are paying a premium rate for that call to be transferred to any phone anywhere in the world. They are normally used by scammers who wish to hide their actual phone number and location as the caller has no way to find out where or to whom the call is being transferred. And because they are free to set up (the caller pays all charges) and require no form of identification, they are a gift to scammers. I don't know any reason why a legitimate business would ever use one of these numbers.

These are almost always the sign of a Nigerian scam

Boyfriend of two years still keeps his ex's phone number when he transfers phone.?

I have been with my boyfriend for two years now and when I met him he had just gotten out of a long term, serious, relationship. I did not push him into our relationship, but I really liked him and things have worked out perfectly so far. His cell phone broke the other day and he got a new phone which they could not transfer the numbers to from his old phone. He had to enter in ALL the numbers himself (they were saved on the verizon website). While he was doing this and complaining, I asked him if he was weeding out numbers he didn't need anymore and he said yes. I was playing with his phone later that night (i need a new phone in a couple months) and I saw that he had entered in his ex-girlfriend's phone number and her mother's phone number. I can't bring myself to ask him about it but it makes me very uncomfortable. He has never said that they keep in touch and I have never asked. I think that he would have a problem if I were in contact with my ex (that seems to have been one of the reasons my bf and his ex broke up... she was still in contact with her ex whom she got engaged to within 6 months of her relationship with my current bf ending). I need advice please.
