How Do I Know My Apple Appointment Is Reserved

Do you need an appointment to visit the Apple Genius Bar?

No, you can get one (sometimes) when you walk into the store, with your chances decreasing as it gets later in the day. Here's a quote from another of my answers:Book online. But do bare in mind that appointments at the larger stores or those with a large footfall are often fully booked for a week from the day you’re on.Book with an Apple Support employee over the phone. However, they only have access to the same resources as you can access by booking online.Walk in appointment. Up until a certain point in the day, typically 2–4 hours before close (depending on store size, queues etc) you can get an appointment for that day. This is almost always the case for non Mac appointments. For Mac related, you’ll really want to get to the store just before opening or book online.

Can I have two devices fixed on the same Genius Bar appointment?

No. It is best that two appointments be made because the Genius Bar is staffed to expect a certain timeline per appointment, and that also happens to mean per device. A single computer can have plenty of variables all on its own, and is difficult enough to tack down to a specific timeline for consultation, but two different machines with varying issues is a big ask. You may simply be requested to make a second appointment, but it would be courteous to make one in advance.

How do I cancel my Genius bar appointment?

I got a video for you to watch0:00-0:17How to cancel or reschedule an Apple Genius Bar ReservationI don't think you can currently cancel or reschedule a Genius Bar Reservation from Apple's GB reservation site.If you have iOS though, you can cancel or reschedule using Apple's Apple Store.app. It's not obvious how ...Tap StoresFind store where you have reservation.Click Store then Genius Bar. From here you can create a new appointment, or cancel or reschedule an existing appointment.I don't think there's an Apple Store.app equivalent for the desktop, so, like iMessenger, this is strictly an iOS service.

My calendar wiped off all my appointments. How can I fix it?

Per Google: Can I recover a deleted Calendar event?Barring that, you can restore from whatever backups you may have in an offline client that may have been connected.

How good or bad is the customer service of Genius Bar at Apple store?

The customer service at the Apple Genius Bar is always quite good. They have helped fix problems with my Apple products for years. An example of this is when my Mac Mini Hard Drive stopped working. Since I had Apple Care, they replaced it free of charge. Fixing it didn’t take long however I had to reserve the Genius Bar and ended up waiting over a week….Overall quite good however always try to find alternatives if you feel like you are being ripped off.

When I was buying something at an Apple Store, the salesperson asked me for my email address. What does Apple want my email for?

They want your email address so they can send you marketing material. It is also a unique identifier. Only one person has the email address johndoe1976@example.com but lots of people might be named John Doe.At just about every store that sells technology I get asked for my email address. They say they want to send me a copy of the receipt for the product I’ve just purchased but I know they’ll send me marketing material as well.I have several email addresses: one for work, and several personal email addresses. One I reserve for family and friends, and another for email that I know is mostly going to be receiving marketing material.

Help - my rabbit is very quiet and reserved and won't move much.?

Your vet may not have noticed anything, many vets just don't know a lot about rabbits and miss the signs of stomach problems in buns. Two vets told me my rabbit was fine and he died a few hours later.

You need to get her to a vet ASAP, this is an emergency for rabbits. Try calling a local animal emergency clinic, and if they don't have a vet to treat rabbits you can even call your local zoo (they will have exotic vets on-call). She may have gastrointestinal stasis which is when the intestines stop functioning. This can happen if a rabbit hasn't eaten or pooped in only a few hours time. It's very, very bad if a rabbit hasn't pooped or eating in 24 hours and can lead to death. Take her to the vet immediately because she needs to be force fed and may even need surgery if she does in fact have a gastrointestinal problem.

If a vet is not available to see her (call in advance, some places won't have exotics on-call) you can try force feeding her her pellets and some greens mashed up or blended in a blender with water, or you can try to find Critical Care, which is a powdered food for herbivore animals. She needs something in her stomach as quickly as possible. You can also give her a small amount of baby gas medication like gas-x for babies if she does have some gas in her stomach.

EDIT: I'm sorry I didn't read your post very thoroughly. I saw that you did take her to the vets and they gave you an emergency liquid food. Force feed it to her with a syringe, and do not give her anymore apples. They will not help her stomach problems. Check very carefully to make sure that she is pooping and continue to force feed her every few hours. You can also try to massage her stomach to help pass the gas through if it is gas.

The most important thing is that she is pooping and eating. If she ate hay and some food, it might be just that her stomach is still uncomfortable from the gas. Just make sure she's pooping!

Do I really need to backup my iPhone and erase all content before submitting it for a battery replacement?

No. However they recommend you backup your phone because they are afraid you will lose your data. I am not too sure why you have to erase all content, but presumably that’s to make it easier for them. Backup your data, but don’t erase all content unless you have something sensitive on there.

Why does the Apple Genius Bar turn off Find my iPhone before taking the phone for repair?

Activation Lock was introduced in iOS 8 as a way of preventing stolen devices from being reused by later purchasers. It works like this... Before an installation of iOS is used for the first time (e.g. after software update, or wipe and restart), it has to be "Activated". This involves a secure connection to Apple servers to be established which allows Apple to determine the physical device identity, and to see if that device is associated with a certain Apple ID (and such association is applied by enabling Find My iPhone) or not.So, in case Apple replace the device with a different one, it makes good sense to disable Find My iPhone before taking the device from you. This achieves the following:A) Allows them to recycle the device identity (or maybe even main board) if they replace your device,B) Keeps your list of enrolled devices tidier if they replace your device,Hope this helps.

How can I send a repair to Apple without any proof of purchase? Or is it possible?

Thanks for the A2A.If you purchased your product from Apple and registered it, they will have a record of your purchase — they can look it up via the serial number. (In fact, they probably don’t even need your registration.)If you purchased it from someone else and it is still within the warranty period, they will still probably repair it. The best thing to do would be to take it to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Center and have them give you the answer. If you don’t have one of those near you, call Apple Service and get the definitive answer instead of asking on Quora.
