I don't want to use that latisse product but if there are certain mascaras that grow your eyelashes, I'd try those. However if there is a home or natural remedy I'd prefer those. Like I heard vaseline grows them? Is that true and if it does, how long does it take for a noticeable change? I also heard that oil works too, like castor oil or coconut oil or even olive oil. Which is best?

I have a natural suggestions and one artificial suggestion, so whatever floats your boat.NATURALThe natural route is a long process but this serum containing natural ingredients is worth a try.Mix equal parts of:Castor Oil - natural source of vitamins, omega fats, and proteins that helps promote dramatic hair growthOlive Oil - promotes hair growth as well as strength and quality of strandsVitamin E - helps strengthen, thicken, and lengthen lashesCoconut Oil - penetrates eyelash follicles stimulating hair growthEmu Oil - known for its anti-inflammatory and anti-wrinkle benefits; promotes skin regeneration and is nourishing to the skin(Note, you do not have to have all these oils at hand, just add as many and in the variety that you would like. Of course, the more ingredients, the more benefits this serum could have)You would have to apply this serum in the morning and in the evening with a clean mascara wand. Continue this routine for 4–6 weeks.I would suggest taking a before and after picture to gauge results and effectiveness.ARTIFICIALYou can always opt for the artificial route by getting Lash Extensions. This is actually the fastest and most popular route. However, maintaining this look could be a bit expensive.I have opted for this option because I was going on vacation and needed results fast. I searched Groupon for deals in my area for lash extensions and found a lady that was running a special not listed on Groupon. She had a Back to School speacial for $75 for 1st time customers having a student ID. The prices range according to region and extension type, ask your lash professional when calling. The process took about 2 hours to complete and I was on my back the entire process. If you opt for this, you will have to wait 24 hours before you can get your lashes wet and you will have to avoid wearing mascara. You will have to get a “refill” about every 3–5 weeks depending on the option of extensions you get, but here are the results.BEFOREAFTERDAYS AFTER during vacation

Do lotion on eyelashes make them grow longer?

I haven't heard of lotion, but I have heard of people rubbing a bit of olive oil on their lashes to make them grow longer. I've never tried this & I don't know if it's a very good idea/will work, but you could always look into it. To make your eyelashes look longer curl them a couple times before you apply mascara. There is also a new product out called Latisse. I believe it is by prescription only, but there is that option if you have very short eyelahes.

How can I make my eyelashes grow longer naturally?

I use castor oil[1]. Most commercial products to grow eyelashes will include it as one of the many ingredients — the rest being often just chemicals to give the product a long shelf life. Castor oil is very cheap and quite effective. It’s a sticky oil, so it’s easy to apply; it does not irritate the eye if you accidentally drop it inside the eye, unlike olive oil, which is also often used to increase the length and thickness of eyelashes. Olive oil is much harder to apply (it’s much more liquid and less viscous), and, of course, it’s slightly acidic, so, yes, if it gets in contact with your eyes, it will burn! (Olive oil is harmless, so you just need to wash your eyes thoroughly if you get some of it inside your eyes.)A friend of mine does a home mix of castor oil and olive oil; I guess it means that it will stick much better to the lashes, and you will get the benefits of both.If you can get a doctor to prescribe it, the only commercial product which really has a scientifically proven track record of growing the eyelashes is Latisse®[2]. It’s expensive, and, as said, it cannot be bought without a prescription — it’s a medicament, not a cosmetic product, even if it’s also applied to the lashes just like castor oil or any of the other products. Many companies claim to have similar results to Latisse®, but that’s simply not true, because only the active ingredient of Latisse® has been scientifically studied and researched in order to guarantee results; and the production of that ingredient is covered by patents, so no one else can replicate the results.Footnotes[1] Castor Oil For Eyelashes Growth - How Effective Is It?[2] The only prescription treatment for inadequate or not enough eyelashes
