How to get rid of short, stubby legs?

I'm 17. I weight 109 and am 5'3. They are all muscle and I'm hating it, I am so self conscious of them. I never played a sport and dont really work out, what can I do? stretch?

How to get rid of stubby legs?

I am 15, 5'3 and a quarter ;) (haha gotta add in that quarter of an inch), and and around 125 lbs. i'm definitely not skinny, i'm average, and i have some excess fat. I have really stubby looking legs, it's horrible. It's not that I have fat legs, but since they are really short they look like trunks! My legs are pretty toned its all muscle really but i do have a little bit of fat on the inside of my thigh that is impossible to get rid of! I also have kind of crooked legs, and my calves are not small but they aren't huge either.

What kind of bottoms should I wear to make them look longer/skinnier? Should I purchase higher quality jeans, maybe? Also, what excercises can I do that might make them look skinnier and get rid of that inner thigh fat?

Can i get rid of stubby legs by losing weight?

Your leg will look more slim. If you want to elongate your legs, the best thing to do is wear heels. It doesn't even have to be a tall heel, even an inch will help. It makes you stand straighter and seem taller. Skirts that hit just above or below the knee are good too, as long as you don't wear shoes that go above your ankles. And great fitting jeans are an absolute must.

Do long legs on a man look good?

It depends on so many factors. If they’re skinny and lack muscle tone or definition, then no. I’ve seen a few guys who are either skinny or nicely defined/built but have these ugly skinny legs…looks horrible. If you have a short torso long legs just make you look weird. In theory long legs sound good until they start to get out of proportion. When it does it can make a man appear somewhat feminine or emasculate their appearance somewhat. I have a younger friend who has long legs and is tall, but unfortunately has rather full hips and ass and somewhat “soft” features that tends to feminize him.Long nicely defined or tones legs however do look good on men and just a subtle reminder when you’re working out and developing a fitness regimen do not forget your legs.

Hey!At only 5ft8 myself, I have figured this one out alas!Regardless whether you're going casual or smart, keep the bottom part slim fitted and keep the length; What I mean by that is, ensure the trouser reaches your ankle, and doesn't bunch up too much. If you're going sock less for the summer, don't roll up the trouser/jean too much. If you roll them up too much, it will give off the impression that the leg is shorter then it actually is.For the top half, again, slim and fitted. Keep the shirt or top length suited to your torso. If you wear a shirt that drops beneath your waist or a t shirt that falls over you're pocket lines, you'll hide the length from your legs and again, give the impression that your legs are shorter then they actually are!Last thing, if like me and wear skinny jeans, and your legs are rather thin, stay away from bulky shoes. They make your legs look thinner and smaller!Hope this helps!Charlie

I HATE my stubby knees!?

Oh my god. Me too. I have "toddler knees". They're pudgy and look like they belong on a 2 year old. I so hate them.

My boyfriend just told me I have chubby legs. I've been on a diet and I work out a lot and don't know how to make them thinner. What's an advice for me?

Now, I once made the grave mistake of mentioning to my then fiance that, perhaps, there was the slightest possibility that, someone other than me might say that, yes, those pants are not as flattering as they could be to her bum.It almost ended right there what later became a 27 year marriage,  And even 15 years later, she still reminded me of how cruel and nasty I had been to say such a terrible thing to her.So, dear lady, I know better than that now, and would never say such a thing to my partner again.  But it is clear your BF doesn't know that.  And so it seems it is your job to teach him a harsh lesson in life.  Call it 'tough love' if you like.  But learn he must.Just, be gentle, because guys are pretty fragile.  Keeping him on the hook for 15 years is overkill in my opinion.  10 years should be plenty.And by the way, your legs look perfectly fine to me.  A bit too slim if anything, but really well toned.

The legs just appear frail because you don't see muscle bulk overlying the bones, tendons, and ligaments, giving them their smaller circumference.

How do you get really long legs?

Well, for one, long legs should be in your genes. If they're not, learn to love your short legs. It's how you are meant to look and it makes you unique! Trust me, I have the same problem. I'm half Filipina and my legs are short. ANYWAYS, Heels always make your legs look taller. Also, wear flare pants or yoga pants. Avoid tucking your pants into your boot because it cuts your legs off, making the shortness obvious. (I know a lot of girls who tuck their pants into their Uggs and combat boots. This is a big NO NO!) Also, a long striped legging or pant pattern may also extend your legs visually.
